Alan, It doesn't matter... most of us filed at the same time and are sharing our experiences. We have come across many of the same problems and questions due to our 130s being filed at the same time in April. By now, it doesn't matter what you call us, Radioactive Penguins, May filers, hopeful July Approvals

Thanks to supernova's inquiry about getting touched I noticed our I-129F was touched today. CSC was probably finding a nice deep box to store it in.

How about FLJeepQC, KevFabi, G&A, iray, neenuh, waitingforwifey, whitesnail, etc. Any updated news on your journeys??

It doesn't trouble me and I didn't want to make you feel unwelcome. I just wonder if someone filing at the end of may should expect the same timeline as April filers.

Thhank you for your concern. The thread was started for anyone starting there visa journey in or around April. Most filers go with the K3 route to be together sooner.

Each journey has its own timeline. The recent backlog at USCIS has almost everyone waiting much longer than the average. I can't even expect my timeline to be the same as someone whose packet was received one day before mine.

You are more than welcome to post here. The purpose of the thread is to share experinces, questions, and concerns with the visa process.

After searching through the forum it appears some Febuary filers are still waiting for their NOA2 approvals and most of the March filers are still waiting.

This is an invitation to anyone who filed a K3 in or close to April to post on this thread. It seems that many of us who have filed in April are having delays with checks being cleared and receiving a NOA1. I think it would be helpful to keep each other updated with concerns or activity on our visa applications.

I plan to call USCIS within the next two days because it will be 30 days since my packaged arrived without my check clearing or receiving a NOA1.

I am surprised to see that your check hasn't cleared yet. I thought for sure by now... Our filings were 2 days apart. Man, was the wait painful. Hope to see you get that check cleared and/or the NOA1 soon.

I just sent in my 129F for the K-3 on Monday, it was received on Tuesday. so I am once again waiting for an NOA1, but I won't start stressing until next Monday

I hope that goes faster than the NOA1 for the I130

I am happy for you that you received your receipt notice and NOA1. Your timeline gave me a spark of hope. It's amazing what a few days difference in the time our packages were received made.

Some say because of the transfer to electronic system, some say because of a delay in transferring cases to the CSC and some say because of lack of staff either due to the increased need for staff on passport services or because of holidays... All reasons seem plausible and it could even be a combination of all of the above factors... We all just gotta hang in there and hope for the best! Heres to hoping that they start churning through our applications asap

Patience is a virtue. The only rumor I have been able to substantiate is where the volume of H-1B filings has created a backup. This was in a notice from the government.

It could be a combination of many things like you stated. My experience with changed procedures is that it takes time for employees to get used to the new way and time to work out the unforseen problems.

Waiting and hoping is what we do. Each of us deals with the wait in different ways. The moral support between members on VJ is great. At least you know you are not alone.
