Thanks for the info pkewl. Did you happen to notice the total number of K1s and K3s during the same time period.

Edp333: No I did not but here is the info, I think, you were looking for:

Totol # of K1 filed @ CSC between 03/31/07 theu 07/01/07 (basically for April/May/June): 308

Totol # of K3 filed @ CSC between 03/31/07 theu 07/01/07 (basically for April/May/June): 79

I haven't done the exact math yet but even if we were to consider the ratio of K1 to K3 filed, which is about 3.8 times, I still dont see the K3 NOA2 rate matching that of K1 NOA2 rate. I m sure we need more data to conclude either way but I m just expressing what I feel.

BTW, I believe, the above figures also comprises of NSC and TSC filers who were eventually transferred to CSC. Again, I believe thats the case but I am not 100% sure.

Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Hi All,

I posted this (with some variation in NOA1 dates) in one of the other threads but I would like to post it here too. Not that its a question and I am expecting any answers but I guess you could say I am just whining, ranting and venting due to longer than normal wait time at CSC. So, here it goes:

I did some K1 vs. K3 timeline search/comparison and here is what I found according to VJ timeline seach function, assuming I did my search correctly:

1) Total K1 NOA2: 25 for the dates of 09/30/07 thru 10/12/07 @ CSC.

Total K3 NOA2: 2 for the dates of 09/30/07 thru 10/12/07 @ CSC.

2) Total K1 NOA2 between 09/30 thru 10/12: 9 for the NOA1 dates 05/31/07 thru 08/01/07(June/July K1 filers @ CSC)

Total K3 NOA2 between 09/30 thru 10/12: 0 for the NOA1 dates 05/31/07 thru 08/01/07(June/July K3 filers @ CSC)

So, if I infer these data properly, CSC has already started to work/approve on June and July K1 filers whereas thru this thread I know that many/most of the April/May K3 filers at CSC are still waiting. So for the life of me, I cant understand why there is so much of discrepancy within the so-called "K" category visas. Isn't K3 is to married couples what K1 is to unmarried couples? Furthermore, USCIS doesn't even report K3 tracking publicaly anymore on their website. Does that mean they have indefinite time to adjudicate K3 petitions?

To avoid any misunderstanding, its not my intention to knock off any K1 filers. I know this is not their fault or is in their hands in anyway. As a matter of fact I am whole heartedly happy for them for their NOA2 but its just that I would like to see some progress/processing in K3 category too? Why this much of a bias towards one sub-category visa versus another?

Sorry for the rant and vent but I had to do it today. It gets little tiring and heartbreaking after seeing so much of these.

Have a nice day e'one and good luck to all who are waiting

Just for Reference:

I wanted to share with everyone the reponse time just to send out an email from USCIS. I am very thankful I recieved a Fax to complete the RFE. I really believe the fax was a miracle from GOD!!! Anyway, the decision was made for the RFE on 10/05/2007 and the email came on 10/11/2007. It took 6 days just to get an email. WOW....

@pkewl - You are correct. I just wanted to get an idea of the sample sizes. Common sense tells me your hypothesis has a condidence level of .99 which is the highest used in normal statistics. Nothing in real life is 100%, (even though the sciences use theoretical absolutes). However, I am starting to sound too technical, so thank you for providing the info.

@ My Honey - You certainly were blessed with being able to get your RFE faxed so quickly. Somehow you found the eagle on the RFE line rather than the duck. An eagle soars above the rest if you are not familiar with the anology. I knew email email responses were delayed, but now I will expect to be approved for a week before I am notified. ;)

Hi,

Another week go by without any approvals or any touches.......next week USCIS have to post new processing time and will they say 6-months?

We hope - in the least - that they continue to say 6 months - and not something longer than that....

Many April filers are quickly approaching 6 months, if they haven't already - and unless USCIS gets it together many more will surpass the 6 month 'deadline' they give! :crying:

Just out of my curiousity, where are you finding this 6 months at? I see 6 months posted for K1 and K2 visas, but no timeline for K3.

Your correct K3 times are not posted, but I-130 and K3 gets approved at the same time.

Take it for whats it worth, my lawer says they apply hundrads of cases per month and he syas that the pattern is I-130 and K3 get approved at same time.

He also said that all of his K-1s (100s of cases) from April are already approved and they are in early May, but no one from April K3 (100s of cases) ot approvals yet.

So I assume that next week USCIS gonna have to say 7 months for processing time otherwise numbers do not add up.... and if they don't we can organize a petition to Senators.

When I called USCIS to ask where I could find the K3 processing dates, they told me it was the same as the K1. However, I believe this information is not true since K1 filers get their approvals earlier than we do.

They are definitely processing by noa1 dates of I130s, they don't seem to take the I129s into account. Which is of course a good thing
