edp333 you won't be using the same passport photo for your I-129f?

the NOA1 is taking longer than it should, now i think we should submit a different passport photo as well

hassle-hoff!

City Mall is the old Airfore One mall with the park in back. Just a little farther down the road from SM. Close to the market area on Rodriguez.

Long story. LOL. My wife only gave me one passport picture which I sent in with the I130. I took another set of myself because the USCIS CSR told me to send two sets of G325A with two photos for the I130. Evidently, I did not listen as I still had one photo. Live and learn.

Filed: K-3 Visa Country: India
Timeline

Hi All,

I just talked with a USCIS cust service rep about my I-130 application that I sent on April 21,2007. Since I have not received the NOA1 nor my check has been cashed I wanted to find out the approximate time it would take for me to receive any kind of info from USCIS. She said, that the California Service Center is running a little behind due to overwhelming H1 visa applications. This has considerably slowed down the K-3 visa processing. However, she indicated that I should check back with them after June 15. If I do not receive any notice by June 15, then they will provide me a "non-receipt referral". The non-receipt referral basically provides information regarding the filing if the filing can be confirmed.

So for all the K-3 filers out there who sent in the I-130 in late April and have not received any NOA1 or check cash confirmation, please do not panic. Give yourself another 2-3 weeks and then call USCIS at 1-800-375-5283.

Thanks!

Thanks for verifying our suspicions waitingforwifey. So much for the notice that premium processing will not be affected. :jest:

WASHINGTON – Due to the unprecedented volume of recent H-1B filings, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is temporarily experiencing a receipting/data-entry (DE) front log at its Service Centers. In an effort to give our customers more accurate information about current receipting timeframes and USCIS service level commitments, we are providing the following projections for fee receipting and data entry processing for H-1B cap cases currently at our Service Centers:

Note: These projections do not apply to Premium Processing or I-129 H-1B (cap or non-cap) cases.

Here's a question,

say we don't recieve the NOA1 soon, but that the check is cashed in, or that we call USCIS and they give us our case number, can we file our I-129f and the proof of our filing the I-130 would be our case number ? Or do we really have to wait and send a copy of the NOA1 ?

Thanks for the insight

Still patiently waiting... okay not so patiently

I have seen at least one member say here that they filed without the NOA1 copy, just writing a letter explaining that they never received it and providing the case number. You could try the same, but if your check was cashed, you should be getting the NOA1 soon.

I just got a touch on my 129F. I think they are readying to forward it on to the Service Center from the NBC!

Still waiting on either the NOA or the check to be cashed, but sending a letter with our case number sounds like a good idea. There's already delays at the Consulate in Montreal(5 to 7 months to get an interview) so the quicker we can send the I-129f, the better, in my opinion anyways. Doesn't seem like Ill be re-united with my husband for Christmas and that's what we were hoping for.

still gonna cross my fingers though :)

If 28 days have passed since your I130 packet arrived at Nebraska, you can call USCIS to inquire. The worst that will happen is that they will tell you to wait 45 days. If your name is in the system, then ask for your receipt number.

To contact someone without a receipt number: call 1-800-375-5283, press 1 for English, press 2 for main menu, after this I think press 2 and then 6. I did not take notes.

As Urge To Race mentioned, one member was successful sending in their I129F packet without an NOA1. But the general forum responses suggest waiting.

Hope your NOA1 shows up soon. Mine toook close to 5 weeks.

This is an invitation to anyone who filed a K3 in or close to April to post on this thread. It seems that many of us who have filed in April are having delays with checks being cleared and receiving a NOA1. I think it would be helpful to keep each other updated with concerns or activity on our visa applications.

I plan to call USCIS within the next two days because it will be 30 days since my packaged arrived without my check clearing or receiving a NOA1.

I am VERY Early April for the 129F

Plan CR-1 and K-3

Married 14 Feb Romania

I130

6 March I-130 Sent

13 March I-130 NOA1

25 Apr I-130 Status changed from "Received and Pending" to "Pending

21 Aug NOA2 approved and sent via Email

I129F

14 March I-129F Sent

29 March I-129F NOA1

2 Apr I-129F notice that it is being sent to VSC

3 Apr I-129F touched

24 Apr I-129F Status changed from "Received and Pending" to "Pending"

26 Apr I-129F Touched

27 Apr I-129F Touched

27 Jun I-129F Touched (They are teasing now)
