April K3 Filers

Good morning all April filers. It's another week and I'm already rattled! I am very happy for the people but, I am extremely upset, and becoming to take this whole process more and more personal!!! There was another May filer approved by VSC. Why do these people keep our applications at CSC when they do not have the capacity to handle all these applications? In the meantime VSC is processing applications and our applications sit and the back log continues to grow! How comes no one is recognizing this huge problem? Also, the May filer did not have any touches! Our applications started to be "touched" Sept 25, 26, 27, & 28. Still we do not have a decision. This now is making me nervous and I feel like I am on the edge! What more will these people do to ya? I'm sorry for venting but, I am so frustrated!!! Our families continue to be seperated and all of our lives remain on hold. That is the bottom line on how you look at this. Also, I understand there is not a damn thing we can do until we finish this horrible process of USCIS... I really am thinking about when this ####### is over to publish a book on the entire process. I believe everyone should told about this horrible nightmare!!

Anyhow best of luck to everyone........

Call CSC and ask about these touches. Wish you luck

So sorry Kimberly.

I wish you LUCK!

I know exactly how you feel. Being one of the March filers we were at the beginning of the backlog. I waited my 180 days before I called them. received approvals the next day. I called only for the 2nd time Friday, since it has been 2 weeks since approvals. Believe it or not after chatting for a little with the customer rep. on the phone and telling her I wish I knew the person who approved me, she told me ! The supervisor who did me the favor was standing there and I thanked her. The point of the story - the people that work for the CSC are only doing their jobs, they don't have the power to change what is broken, but yet they bare the brunt of the frustrations that arise when there is so much at stake in peoples lives. So far a lot of tact and a little kindness on the phone with them has helped. Lets hope your approvals come very soon.

Paruchute,

When you telephoned; can you give the number and exactly what numbers did you press to get someone on the telephone? Its a nightmare just to speak to someone. Please let me know.

Thanks,

My Honey,

Well we finally got a "touch" of CSC love today as well. It is nice to see some movement. There haven't been many K-3 approvals this last week while tons of K-1's are kicked out by the CSC. It would be nice if they would process our K-3's as fast as the K-1's since they don't even provide a seperate waiting time for K-3/4's on the USCIS site. When I call, they tell me that my K-3 is being treated as a K-1, well not in processing time for sure. I hope you get approved very soon and that we follow close behind.

I concur.. Approval time discrepancy between K1s and K3s has been one of my gripes ever since I started this process (as some of you old-timer may already know :)) But looking at the recent/current rate of K3 approvals... It is probably the SLOWEST of all the three: CR1/K3/K1... Dont get me wrong.. I am very happy for all the K1 filers for their approvals... Its just that in next couple or so days, its going to be 4 months since I filed K3 and its due for approval now.. Of course it also doesn't help to see that about 3 filers (maybe more but I haven't checked) who filed ONLY I130 near (even a few days after mine) my date have already been approved. BTW, they ALL are at CSC too and two of them are infact for India... Coming back to the topic, I was on VJ last night and read in K1 forum that they had 7 or 8 K1 NOA2 on the date of around 28th Sept I believe.. so I did a search of timeline for K1 vs. K3 NOA2 between 9/20 thru 9/30 and I think VJ only came up with ONE K3 NOA2(if that) versus there were a fair number of K1 NOA2 for the same time frame... And I am not buying into the argument that then maybe all the K3 NOA2s for that time frame were for non-vjers..Maybe... but what are the chances that for the same time frame most of the K1 NOA2 filers are VJ members compared to almost none of the K3s... I think its safe to say that K3 has been the slowest of all. Not becasue I have been waiting for a long time (many K3s have been waiting even longer than I have and still continue to wait)... but because thats what the statistical data suggest...

Anyhow, wish you (and e'one here) good luck for the touches. Hope it results into a NOA2.

Hi All...

NO CSC K3 NOA2 again...

I guess more ranting from my side... Seeing the recent CSC K3 slowdown, which is turning to more like a total "stand still" as every day passes by.. I 've been feeling so down/depressed of late. Thanks to VJ and its members, I can come here and express/share my rant.

Of course it also doesn't help to see your timeline pushing last week of Nov and almost into Dec for a NOA2... I used to hardly pay any attention to my projected NOA2 date and usually I am NOT so impatient about anything but this whole process is draining and taking its toll on me, especially since its been almost four months now since I filed K3.. Isn't it rather all strange that the LAST reported K3 NOA2 we have had on VJ from CSC was on 19th Sept??? :( I hope I am wrong and that many are getting their NOA2 from CSC (here on VJ and outside of VJ).

Anyhow, good luck to all for a speedy NOA2.. This is just plain sad.

Good Luck to My Honey.. I can imagine how u must be feeling seeing all the recent touches and not hearing anything from CSC... You are in my prayers Wish you all the best

Thats so true... valticp

Check this out: I just compared the K1 vs. K3 NOA2 from CSC for the period of 09/15 thru 10/02...I saw 35 K1 NOA2 versus ONE K3... Ofcourse unless, K3 filers here are getting their NOA2 and not updating their timelines but I am pretty sure thats not the case...Oh well...

pkewl,

To supplement, if you don't mind, I have some more numbers that seem to prove your point with the caveat that everybody may not be keeping their timelines up to date.

All NOA1 received from 4/1/2007 through 4/30/2007:

Total: 116 (100%)

IR-1/CR-1: 7 (6.0%)

K-1: 76 (65.5%)

K-3: 33 (28.5%)

then...

NOA2 received from 9/15/2007 through 10/2/2007:

Total: 36 (100%)

IR-1/CR-1: 0 (0%)

K-1: 35 (97.2%)

K-3: 1 (2.8%)

There is definitely a bias towards K-1 visas for some reason.

Whenever we see numbers comparing results of K-1 versus K-3 visas, we need to allow for a 76 to 33 ratio (about 2.3 K-1 visas for every single K-3 visa).

Therefore there SHOULD have been a distribution of approvals more along the following.

Total: 36

IR-1/CR-1: 2

K-1: 24

K-3: 10

By the way, I found out last evening that my paperwork has made it to the NVC. It took 27 days for our paperwork to go from NOA2 status to showing up in the NVC database. (See signature or VJ timeline for specifics.)

Good luck to everyone waiting. It is tough. It has been more heartbreaking than anything to me on so many levels like missing my wife, wanting to get going with my life and future family, and lesser issues such as how disappointed I am in the USCIS and my government and their absolute real lack of any accountability whatsoever. Talk about job security.

Good luck RobinatAileen. With a little luck you may make a November interview!!

pkewl I have to agree with you. We are approaching 170 days on the I-130 and 130 days on the K3 with no touches since the transfer to CSC. I have given up on December and am focusing on March now.

Maybe USCIS needs to switch to a pay after services are rendered. :jest:

Hi Robin,

Good to see some of your statistical analysis again. I have missed it. Congrats on getting to NVC.

It looks like they haven't done anything with k3s for the past two weeks. I hope I'm wrong

Good Luck to all

K-1: 24

K-3: 10

Filed: K-3 Visa Country: Mexico
Timeline

There's got to be something weird going on with k3s. Why would they approve fiancees faster than husbands/wives?

That just makes no sense

May 31 2007 I-130 - NOA1, pending at California Service Center

October 31 2007 APPROVED

June 13 2007 I-129 - NOA1, pending at California Service Center
