I wish I could give you some advice failth11. We are doing the same thing. Only, Layla and I waited only 17 months from our abandoned K1 to file for K3. We are waiting like you, so I can't say that this causes an extra delay/scrutiny or not. I hope it doesn't.

Hello, Faith11 is still waiting, l am very sad with this nightmare and l don´t know what to think.

Our congressman will contact USCIS for us to find out. l never expect that we have to contact him.

This is killing me, lam so worried. we have 180 days since our petiton was received by USCIS.

My husband filled previous petition for me four years ago, we were not married and it was a K1 visa but we abandoned and decided to wait until we get married.

l have thought that this may be causing delays on the process, anyone have been through this before?

l am so sad, we don´t see any touches, anything.

What is going on here. :crying::crying::crying:

Thanks Urge, l agree with you.

l think l have been too paranoid with all of this.

l am so confused with so many delays, l am about to get crazy here.

l have to remain strong and keep faith.

l feel so bad because there is nothing we can do but waiting, this is not in our power, we have no control on this.

l just want this to be OVER l want my approvals, GOD PLEASE.

Faith I am from colombia too my husband life in wisconsin and my I-130 sent 24 april 2007 and my I-129f 16 may and now we no receive nothing only our case touch one time I-130 22 may and I-129f 17 jun.

and never before we file k-1.

PLEASE GOD HELP US

Hi Maria Fda, l am Rosi, my husband lives in Phoenix,AZ.

this is very frustating and very dissaponting but l know l will be with my husband, l won´t give up, l love him and we have been together for a long time, we have been in diferent situation together.

l am just annoyed of this terrible waiting, USCIS should be more transparent with all of us and inform why they are so slow, they don´t underestand that there are feelings here.

Urge, gogo or anyone else for that matter,

I have a quick question for someone who can shed some light on this..

But first some brief backgroud info. Since we filed I130 first, I also have my name in the I-130 filers list in the IR/CR1 forum. Take a look at VJer djturbo's case dates and his NOA2.

His/her Timeline:

05-11-07 Mailed I-130 to TSC

05-12-07 USPS confirm delivery in TSC

06-05-07 CSC receives I-130 from TSC

06-08-07 Check is Cashed

06-11-07 NOA1 Received from CSC

09-14-07 TOUCH...after 100 days! I-130 APPOVED

Djturbo and I have a pretty similar timeline in that we both mailed our I130 to our respective service centers around the same dates(him on 5/11 to TSC, mine on 5/15 to CSC). He received his NOA1 from CSC on 06/11 whereas mine was received on 06/07. But as far as both of our I130 NOA2s are concerned I m NOWHERE near to getting my I130 approved anytime soon. I have had no touch since 06/05 on it.

So the question is did he get approved already because he doesn't have K3 going on with his I-130 or is it becase he is a TSC --> CSC filer or is it due to a combination of both the factors. Regardless, I am not too bothered by it. Its just that a few days ago someone (outside VJ) told me that for petitioners with ONLY I-130, it tends to get approved little faster (vs. say I130 with K3) but the next big wait for them is at NVC. Is that true or u guys seem to get that impression??? If and again IF true then doesn't it kinda defies the whole purpose of filing K3. I do understand that as a K3 filer, I 'll have some leverage at NVC level but if someone who only filed I130 with me and if he gets approved say about two months before my K3 NOA2 then doesn't that make a moot point for people to file K3. I know I thought I 'd ask this question to satisfy my own curiousity

-------------------------

Urge, edp333 and anyone else interested...

Remember this above post of mine in which I asked/debated - if there was any corelation in getting NOA2 for someone who filed I130 only versus I130 coupled with K3. Well, from some of the recent I130 ONLY (ppl pursuing only IR1/CR1) approvals(NOA2), it seems like my speculative theory is slowly but surely turning into reality. I now know atleast 3 VJers who only filed I130 for their spouses and already have their NOA2 for it. Moreover, two of the three are from the same country as mine (India), one from Phillipines, and I forgot to check their service centers but more than likely are CSC filers. If interested, check out ze22's, mayfiler's and djturbo's timeline. All three of them filed around mid-may, which is when I sent my I130 too and all them have been approved and I dont even see the light at the end of the tunnel...

Now my gripe is, based upon gogo's today's conversation with USCIS rep of him having to wait 6 more weeks, which translates to about 12 weeks for me (speculative), then dint I just loose all the levarage I have with K3, especially now that the NVC transfer time has increased to about a month, which btw, doesn't seem to be the same case with I130 ONLY NOA2. Anyhow, doesn't this totally defy the whole purpose of K3 filing unless they come out with my K3 NOA2 in next couple of weeks, which we all know for sure isn't going to happen since I am first week of June K3 filer. So in other words, I wait for my wife to get here on a K3 visa, which took about the same time or more as an IR1/CR1 visa would have taken, and then file the costly AOS. Not to mention, my wife wont be eligible to work on a K3 for first few months contrary to someone entering as a IR1/CR1. I know my questioning/whining doesn't help anyone but its just to think about how we get played by the hands of USCIS. Anyhow, I guess I have ranted enough for the night.. I just wanted to share and epxress my feelings about this.. Sorry if I bored you with unnecessary details..

Good Luck to all and have a great Friday

We're on exactly the same boat man :(

All evidence points on us getting approved in late November. Then a month to NVC. That would be about six months in the hands of CSC.

Then we can wait for our respective consulates. Who knows how bad it'll be then

pkewl - i have been contemplating on why my I-130 got approved before edp333's and urge's

and i'm leaning more towards your speculations for an explanation

im sure there are other variables to consider (service center, USCIS adjudicator, backlogs, etc.)

like i mentioned in the other thread, my petition never got a single touch since it was mailed

and that made us worry a lot

sadly, our I-130 approval means nothing at this point, since we didn't submit an application for my son

and this totally sucks

we have no choice but to wait for the K3, and it's taking longer than expected

it wasn't supposed to be this way, but what can we do?

it's really unfortunate we all submitted our petitions during this most convenient time :sarcasm:

i can only hope with you that your petition gets approved soon

stay strong and positive - this will all be over in time

It's really sad to see all of you without your loved ones. I filed for the I 130 in jan 07 and the I 129 F in June of 07.

With my I 129 F tho, I wrote a letter to them, that I included in the package. I know alot of what I wrote does not apply to you, but I saw that it helps out to actually write them something. For my package I included a set of my orders, that I was deploying soon and wanted to see my wife before I left. I had the I 130 approved in august, and the I 129 F approved in about 2 months. after I've sent it. If you have some sort of special way to touch their hearts maybe , just maybe they can speed it up a bit. I hope I helped, I know you guys helped me out alot. Hopefully all of you will be with your loved ones before the holidays. God bless.

pkewl, as I hypothesized in response to you earlier post on the subject, it appears that CR1/IR1 I130s are getting approved faster. I have been noticing this for a while, but it is becoming more of a problem now because of the various delays (sending to NVC, NOA1 delays that delayed our I129F filings etc.). Neenuh is another data point. They processed her I130 like a CR-1 because they hadn't gotten an I129F for some time, and even after she sent it, they hadn't entered it in the system.

This sucks, but unfortunately, we fell into this hole. People who file the petitions together now going forward should get their approved K3s a little faster, which might give them a month or 2 advantage time-wise over CR1/IR1. For us, we just get to lose more money on AOS and save no time.

I130 approvals for CR1/IR1 get to NVC faster because (based on a post by RobinAtAileen here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...&p=1213778) they have to shuffle the K3 papers, sent the I130 approval to storage. CR1/IR1 approvals just go to NVC (when the truck is full?)

I have thought up several different scenarios for why some petitions get approved faster than others. The one hypothesis or untested theory I want to share is on the ajudicators. At work you probably notice some workers or groups are more efficient and faster than other groups. So it is possible that the I-130 petitions and early approvals are being prosessed by a more efficient group of adjudicators.

For example, maybe our petitions got in the short line like going to the store. Only while in the short line, the customers ahead forgot the pin number to their wick number, their credit card will not go through, or a price check is needed. Suddenly we are watching while the people in the longers lines are heading out the door while we are still waiting.
