pkewl,

I would like to add a little more information to what Urge and I have already posted. djturbo's petition was approved in 100 days and that is 50 days quicker than the current VJ average for I-130s. If you look at the processing times for September an I-130 averages 150 days from NOA1 to NOA2 at CSC. The September average for K3 petitons is 140 days at CSC.

The first NOA1s are now averaging 40 days. So if you add the 140 day average between NOA1 and NOA2 to the 40 day day average of getting an NOA1, the K3 approvals are averaging 180 days from the NOA1 I-130 receipt date. So if we follow USCIS directions and send in the I-129f petition with a copy of the I-130 NOA1 our approvals are currently averaging a month longer.

OMG, if this is the case I have 3 more weeks to even scratch the surface of the 180 day mark. :crying::crying: Christmas with my husband here is looking less and less promising. WHAT IS CSC DOING?????

My Honey: If yours is looking "less and less promising" then in my case its a lost cause since I am like 3 weeks behind in timeline, which btw isn't a news to me. Even tho I wanted my wife to be here in the US by Christmas(or atleast have her interview done while I am visiting her in Dec), I already knew/guessed that it wasn't going to be possible now due to the way USCIS has been functioning of late.. (Are they at all???). I knew my wife wont be moving here around christmas or anytime near to it. At this point, her getting here to the U.S by Jan or by mid-Feb will be okay with me. Ofcourse, sooner is better... but I do wish all of us a very good luck... I hope USCIS recognizes that these are family based petitions and not some employment-based where the primary concern is bottom-line $$$$ and money.. It may sound corny but our petitions have emotions and feelings attached to them..These are our spouses...I do understand that its a process that involves various steps/checks but it seems like the NOA2 wait keeps on growing exponentially (sp?) Oh wow.. I dont wanna come across as a whiner.. sometimes a little venting helps I guess... :) especially since its been like 3.5 months since I filed my wife's K3... and I also know that many people who filed before me are still waiting...

As of late, the most disturbing thing for me personally has been the time its taking now for some, if not all, petitions to transfer from CSC to NVC.... Its grown to 4 weeks and that could be the best case too.. I mean come on... The thing that used to take at most A WEEK(it was more like 3-4 days) is taking a MONTH now.... wth? Excuse me..I m sure its my immigration (bad) luck kicking in... Anyhow, sorry for the wordy post. When I started this post, neither did I have any idea nor it was my intention to make this a long one... so apologize..

Urge and edp333: Thanks again for your thoughts and input. Appreciate it.

What you guys think about the above point of mine: Long transfer times from CSC to NVC.. I know we CANT do much about it but it doesn't hurt to dicuss these things while we all are waiting.. in masses.. and also it seems like USCIS doesn't think we have anything better to do then WAIT...

Regards and good luck to all ...

My Honey, please remember this is only an average. It does not mean that your K3 may not be approved earlier than 180 days. The rising average does show that the process is taking longer. For example, the average Americam family has 1.86 children as of the last census. Some families have only one child while other families have five or six. Realistically and hopefully none of the families have 1.86 children. If a few families have 10 children the average will go up. So it is very possible that nobody on VJ has had their K3 approved at exactly 180 days.

Without me being able to analyze the individual data (days to approval) all I can tell you is that the process is taking longer for some of the later approvals.

Please :help: me if I sound like a teacher. It is late.

As I suggested earlier, your husband can file his 2007 tax return online from Parañaque and print a copy for you to present to the US Embassy.

we aren't submitting tax returns, the husband is on disability and he doesn't earn enough to qualify for filing

however, we are submitting a "proof of income" from SSA and stuff

he has tax returns from 2000-2003, though

i will show to the CO and ask, "you like?"

and they will look at me and say, "long time!"

I'm just very frustrated. When I see these delays to grow and I have not seen many approvals coming from CSC. I get even more concerned and frustrated. Anyway, I'm trying to hang in there. Best of luck to you!!!

pkewl, I haven't thought much about the trip to NVC. I will burn that bridge when we get there. But from seeing the march filers, I see that the wait is getting longer... and the whole thing about waiting from a truckload before sending is the problem. If the petition approval rate is soooo slooooow, not many trucks are getting filled, and there will be a longer time between full truckload departures, hence the wait.

Sad thing is, I am thinking my wife will be coming in February at the earliest. :(

pkewl, edp33, myhoney I am sure that you noticed that our VJ projected timelines fell back another month. Perfect point about averages. That happened at the same time Lil-Lost-Girl got approval of her I130 at 587 days. That is an outlier, and the reason it took so long is that her husband was an LPR when he filed and acquired citizen earlier this year. But it still hurts to see that timeline fall a month back when I was so close to the projected date; it was a source for optimism.

OMG, if this is the case I have 3 more weeks to even scratch the surface of the 180 day mark. :crying::crying: Christmas with my husband here is looking less and less promising. WHAT IS CSC DOING?????

Thank you Edp, in the last couple of weeks CSC has slowed down again for approvals. Do you have any information on this?

I have not seen any information that I would consider reliable. But since I wrote my estimate it appears the data has changed for the better or I am going crazy. K3 NOA1 to NOA2 processing times at CSC has taken a sharp drop to just above 100 days. This would lower my I-130 NOA1 to K3 NOA2 estimate to the 140 day range. It is probably due to a couple of quick approvals (outliers), but any improvement brings a spark of hope.

I received a "Touch" today for my I-130 at the CSC. Both applications have been approved. I am in the waiting period for CSC to bulk ship to the NVC. Does anybody have an idea why there would be a touch at this point on the I-130? One of my thoughts was to store that particular application as CSC now holds on to it. Thanks, Robin
