Hi,

Here is my timeline:

April 4,2007 - Got married in India

April 21,2007 - Sent I-130 to Texas Service center

April 24,2007 - Texas Service Center received my petition

My check has not been clearyed yet either. So I called USCIS customer service number yesterday (5/15) and the rep told me to send a fax to Texas Service Center a copy of acknowledgement (return receipt from USPS). She said this might help them to take a look at my application. She also said there has been a huge backlog and sometimes it may take even upto 45 days to receive NOA1 or to cash the check.

Lets all pray that things move bit quicker.

I originally filed my I-130 in March.

I filed the I-129F in April so since I filed the K-3 in April I think of my self as a April Filer.

I hope that CSC receives the file soon so that the file can be on it's way thru the process.

Hi everyone! I have been visiting this site for quite some time now and have decided to register knowing how you guys help each other through word of mouth.

I have just became a US citizen last April and filed my I-130 application for my spouse. I mailed it 21st of April and have not received a Notice of Action from USCIS since. Looking at all your timelines, it seems that I should have received it a week after they received my application. Is this a normal thing?

Thank you and hope someone could help clear things up for me.

Hello golex. The average issuance of a NOA1 is 10 days. The date of issue is found by registering on USCIS website with your receipt number. The receipt number is obtained by getting the number off the back of your cleared check or when the NOA1 arrives. It looks ike there can ba quite a lag from the date of issue to actually receiving the NOA1.

Anyway, the majority of us who sent their packages in April are being told to wait 30 to 45 days. The USCIS has not given a reason for this. I have seen where the volume of H-1B filings has created a backup. Waiting 30 to 45 days is not the normal timeline, but seems to be the new normal timeline for filers in April. Hopefully, they will batch process most of us soon.

Please add me to the April filers.......I am encouraged that they have cashed the check and I am now able to check my online case status because we still have not received a NOA1 from the CSC.........and now the wait begins.....30 to 45 days from what they are saying.......Let's keep hoping they do batch processing.....lol

Great, your check was cashed means you should be getting your NOA1 in the mail any day now. When did the USCIS website online case status say they receipted your case?
