April K3 Filers

yeah, how about me?! lol

well, still waiting for what to do

time's ticking, i know

though i read that someone sent their I-129F and their NOA1 said that the fee was waived

they did send a $170 check and their check hasn't been cashed out

(as mentioned by edp333 - obviously i didn't click the link, heh)

what do you think, guys?

so now it's to fee or not to fee...

at the rate feelicks and i are going, i should just start a my own thread called "september2007 K3 filers"

Since you asked, IMHO:

Maybe the better route for you and Feelicks is the AR1 because of the time that has passed before sending in your I-129F and the fee increases. There is normally a 3 to 6 month time difference between K3 and AR1/CR1. You are close to three months since receipt of the I-130. If you use the James' shortcut it normally takes 3 months to get through NVC where the K3 seems to pass through in a week or two. I am not sure if or how much time the I-129F may save you at this point in time.

The fee differences are $1010 for AOS K3 and $450 for IV bill and biographic check on AR1. The biggest benefit of AR1 is you will enter USA with green card and not have the continued hassles of adjusting status once here.

Sorry if it makes your decision more difficult, but staying with the AR1 route is something to consider.

Thanks to supernova's inquiry about getting touched I noticed our I-129F was touched today. CSC was probably finding a nice deep box to store it in. :)

How about FLJeepQC, KevFabi, G&A, iray, neenuh, waitingforwifey, whitesnail, etc. Any updated news on your journeys??

Hi edp333,

I'm still here...only news I have to report on my ummmm K-3 since my I-130 was approved first is..My I-130

I see, so you are planning to send in your son's I-130 with your AOS paperwork. That sounds like a good decision so USCIS does not lose the paperwork.

Congrats on finally getting the I-797C.:clock: On your I-129F, either way should work. MariEnMichelle's posted that their check was returned to them. So whichever I-129F form you have ready to go is the one I suggest to send in.

I am happy to hear things are moving along for you michail_nc. Waiting is what we must learn to do best during this visa process. If you are using James's shortcut I would plan on January. If the visa is issued sooner then all the better. I am confident your wife will be able to decide when to quit work. Personally, I would wait until after the interview and DELBROS is paid.

Please let me know how the shortcut and AR1/CR1 process is going. It is possible our I-130 will get approved first because of the time difference between petitions.

Good luck and have a pleasant journey.

Hindi na problema! LOL. I know it does not translate properly, so as Bart would say, "No problemo man!" I have all but a couple of items ready to send.

Happy belated birthday.

Another coincidence, I received one of the three I-797cs on my birthday.

Good luck and a happy life with your family back at you.

If you received a email (CRIS) and or a hard copy notification from them, you really won't hear anything more from them until you either get approved or they need more evidence ( RFE ). Make sure you are registered on the USCIS website with your petitions so you can look to see if they have "touched " your case as time goes by. I've been waiting with no action since March 23rd for my I-130 and May 7th for my I-129f. It's going to be a while sorry to say, even longer now because it seems like the whole USCIS system slowed to a crawl this summer. The visajourney timeline will somewhat guide you as far as estimated approval times, but it can vary widely over time too.

The March filers have been taking almost 140 day average for approval since NOA1 date. Then a week or two to get to NVC, a week or two at NVC, and however long it takes to get to your embassy. Each petition has it's own timeline.
