One time previous drug use?

Hi we are going for our medical soon, my fiancee has one timed used acid two years ago and ended up admitted to the hospital.

Because this is in her record we do not want to lie at the medical. She will pass the drug test as this is all she has done.

Will this cause issues for us? Do we need to bring a medical summery or anything?

Please help we are so worried and haven't seen each other in many months.

A lot of us have gone a year plus before seeing eachother again...

As to the drug useage, honesty is always best. Generally it won't cause a denial; but it may require other things in the medical such as an extra evaluation... it can, and has, but not always, cause a temporary 1 year ban while the beneficiary shows they can stay "clean" of the drug use, even if it was only one time. Again that can happen but doesn't always, so you may just have to proceed and see what happens during the medical; but always be upfront and honest about things. Better to take the bad news now than have it come back to bite you later you know.

During the process, questions will be asked.  Answer them truthfully.  Untruthfulness to immigration can reap disastrous results.

Probably more a medical issue.

I wrote a post about what you have to bring to your medical if you are going through Knightsbridge / London Consulate:

With regards to one time drug use, it's nothing to worry about.

Your Fiance should expect to pay for an additional drug screening test, which will be supervised. As long as the test comes back negative no further questions will be asked. If this is a significant issue listed on her medical summary she will need a letter from her GP detailing, dates etc.

I would advise her to obtain the Medical Summary ASAP so she knows what she's dealing with, and we can try to advise further.
