Vermont is actually the fastest right now at 13 months average to process.

California is the worst.

I'm an attorney and work in immigration.  Had a funny call with a tier 2 officer and we were discussing processing times for the service centers at the time.  Texas and Arizona right now is listed at a minimum of 15 months to process the applications so we'll see what happens.

Yep--although California did need a break.  Vermont looks like it could have continued to accept new files.

It is what it is.

It's hard to predict the I-751 processing time for different centers.

It really depends on USCIS' willing.

From this news article, it looks like all service centers (California, Nebraska, Vermont, and Texas) will all be adjudicating the I-751s. The change is that they're now going through the dropbox like other petitions and being routed from there. Hopefully it means faster processing times eventually.

Oh thank goodness. It will be fine there?

Yes, it should be. This change came out today and if they need to move your file or anything, they will notify you, so don't worry. :) Note below that Vermont, California, Nebraska and Texas will be the adjudicating offices. A lot of the work is being redistributed.

-----

On Sep. 10, USCIS changed the filing location for Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence. This form was previously filed at the California and Vermont service centers. Now, petitioners must send Form I-751 to a USCIS Lockbox facility. However, the California, Nebraska, Vermont, and Texas service centers will be the adjudicating offices. When filing at a Lockbox facility, petitioners have the option to pay the fee with a money order, personal check, cashier’s check, or credit card. Please follow the Where to File and Filing Fee directions on the I-751 page.

California is a joke.  I filed ROC in May 2017 and have just received a second NOA in the mail extending my green card for 18 months from the expiration date on the card because of 'slow processing times' (yes, it really says that on the letter).

Sick of this gong show.

I'm from the UK, hubby is from Michigan and is a retired US Army LTC.   We are currently stationed overseas.

Here is our immigration journey so far....

10.26.13 - Our wedding in Scotland

11.26.14 - Filed I-130 at US Consulate, Frankfurt (DCF)

11.18.14 - Returned to Scotland to renew our vows for our first wedding anniversary

01.08.15 - NOA2 received in snail mail, together with case number and Packet 3 instructions

02.15.15 - Submitted Packet 3

02.17.15 - Packet 4 received by email with instructions to schedule medical and interview

02.18.15 - Email authorisation received from Consulate to gain access to appointment calendar

03.03.15 - Medical

03.18.15 - Interview - Approved

03.21.15 - Visa in hand

06.10.15 - POE Chicago (final destination Detroit)

07.20.15 - Received SSN in mail

07.27.15 - Received 2 year green card in mail

The journey to ROC starts here...!

10.05.15 - Returned to Germany on government orders

05.25.17 - Mailed ROC package to California Service Centre

06.14.17 - Received NOA 1 (dated 05.30.17) in mail

09.05.18 - Received a second NOA (dated 08.11.18) in mail granting a further six months extension to green card due to 'processing delays'

11.26.18 - ROC - Approved

12.05.18 - Approval Notice I-797 received in mail

12.18.18 - 10 year green card received in mail

The journey to citizenship starts here...!

Correct.  These are lockbox addresses, not new new service centers.......good post...

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
