Either a RFE or NOA2 takes its time so all you’ve got to do is to not worry and keep being patient. If you feel like you’ve messed up then most likely you’ll receive a RFE however be positive and wait to see what USCIS has got to say about your case.

Also, all cases are different and some are touched before others, I got my NOA2 after 7 months, I know it’s stressful not knowing and be left in the dark..but you must keep strong 💪🏼

Good luck on your journey

What do you mean "documents sent with no evidence?"

We sent only i130 and i130a with payment receipt. And got noa1/ it was later that I joined groups that I realized I should have sent some evidence. They told us to send the forms not evidence. Now we are waiting for noa2 or rfe. We called them many times they told us everything looks good for now.

Reading the I-130 instructions would have told you this, even without joining any groups.  Bear that in mind going forward.  Most likely you will get an RFE once they get to actually looking at your file.  Be ready for that, but also be aware they would not be WRONG to simply deny your petition without sending an RFE.  That would be rare.

If you get an RFE.  Currently in effect is a denial if you didnt send the most basic requirements like a copy of a marriage certificate.

I'm not sure on this but I would send pictures, letters, receipts, anything to show that your relationship is real. I would send copies with my case identification number attached from you NOA1 . Good luck to you call the service center and ask is it possible.

Please can we send it to them now or we should wait for the RFE?

Normally, you should wait for RFE.  No one I know could truly confirm this but based on what they observed the chance of getting your additional documents to get attached to your previous sent documents is very slim if there is no official RFE.

I guess you´re just going to have to wait. sorry guys!

I have heard of people being approved by just sending the USCIS forms and a marriage certificate. After all, the instructions say that you “should” send evidence of a bona fide marriage, not “must”. It depends how you interpret “should”. However, then I saw you are going through the embassy in Nigeria. Probably the most difficult embassy to go through. Good luck. You will need a ton of evidence.

Petition approval is the easy part.  However, these folks did not even send a marriage certificate.
