Omg amazing. So blessed. And yes thanks goodluck aswell. Im following you guys now. Im also in juarez. Hope you get your cita soon.

Awesome yes thank you very much!  Probably be around the same time as well so we might see you there ha.

I am not patiently waiting.  I live in Arizona so I have already contacted our 2 senators and my local congresswoman.  I think 7 to 8 months from CC to interview is unacceptable.  3 to 4 is perfectly understandable but it has long been excessive at this point.   I got a call from Senator McCain's staff yesterday and they were shocked that the time frame has jumped to 7 months.  They will be looking into it they say.  Today I emailed our other senator and I am waiting to hear back.  I've also contacted the state department, NVC and the Consulate at Ciudad Juarez and all are giving me canned responses.  So I am putting in the work for us because I feel like there is something suspect going on there at CDJ.

Yes i did read from other filers on here that the wait time for appts to Mexico consulate is wayyyyyyyy longer than other countries. Kudos to you for letting it be known to our politicians. Once my case is approved i will be on the same boat here in Chicago.

Yes we might bump. I live abroad most of the time in juarez. We are from Durango but decided to relocate to juarez during this process. It hasnt been easy.

Just got my case number. Completed the choice of agent but now only the AOS fee is showing up. The $120. Should I pay it and wait for the IV fee ?

I called around 8am EST and they said they sent an email yesterday but I didnt get it. I checked spam it wasnt there either. I logged in paid both fees around 9:30 am. Then at 10:10 am we got the email.

Just called and got our case number and IIN - HOWEVER, the nice gentleman on the phone said there was a weird issue with the way it was showing up.  All Portuguese Immigrant visas are processed through the Paris Embassy (thank you VisaJourney for teaching me that tidbit!) and we have a Lisbon case number.  Lisbon is not electronic and Paris is electronic, so it should be processed as a PIVOT case... confusing.  Anyway, I hope it doesn't delay anything.

Any other Portuguese on here who have been through?  Do your case numbers start with Paris or LSB?

Got my case number and IIN but it's stressing me out! :(

I logged in but can only see IV Fee and it says "Not Paid" and I can't click on anything... it also says this under Summary Information even though I am a US Citizen?

Due to the numerical limitations on immigrant visa issuance prescribed by law, this petition is not eligible for further processing at this time. The National Visa Center (NVC) will retain the petition until an immigrant visa becomes available. The NVC will notify the petitioner, principal applicant, or attorney of record when this petition is eligible for further processing. The principal applicant should not make any firm plans such as disposing of property, giving up jobs, or making travel arrangements at this time.

Anyone else experienced this? To be fair, my case number was only created in the last hour he said... first of the day for Portugal! Ha.

Everything I have read where people have had their civil documents accepted says to upload (where possible) portrait orientation such that the text reads horizontally (not sideways or upside down). This is how I submitted my passport scans and they were accepted.

I don't think I had any civil documents that were landscape orientation, so not sure what you would do in that scenario.

If you are a USC and sponsoring your spouse, there shouldn't be numerical limitations on the IR-1/CR-1 visa (there are limitations for sponsoring some other types of immediate relatives). If your case number was just created, I would call the NVC again to ask them how to fix. Good luck and congrats on getting your case number!

Hey guys, how long after submitting the documents to NVC (electronic processing) does it take for them to actually review them?

They say up to 3 weeks. It took them 15 days in my case.
