Hi everyone! So on Monday we received our NVC case number and yesterday my husband paid the fees, when we click on start applaictoon for AOS Form it nothing comes up, is that normal? As we want to start filling in that form to speed up the process. Any advice would be appreciated!

The fees are in progress now. Wait 2-3 days until the fees says PAID and the AOS will open.

Now what you can do:

Wait

Fill the appropriate affidavit of support for you case.

Yesterday they rejected again! We have all the documents there and included a civil polic certificate for Brasília since Brazil requires 2. One for federal and one for state. Since Brasília is independent like Washington DC they don’t offer state police certificate and it’s listed in the us embassy website too. They rejected my documents and said they can’t accept my documents because that’s Not correct. I told them that no one told me that it wasn’t correct when they rejected it the other time just saying combine the 2 uploads!! Now they want me to write a letter saying I can’t get a state certificate from Brasília which is redundant when this should already be common knowledge as it’s on the embassy website.

This is ridiculous I am so extremely upset .. she didn’t care that they would be making me wait another 3 weeks to review my case when they messed up not me

I am sorry to hear this. That is really frustrating.

For how many times now that they have rejected your documents? Is it two or three?

3 times now .... honestly I am so sad

I’ve had my congressman working with me and they have been helpful on keeping updated with my case. So I called them yesterday to contact the visa center and they will today as well as my lawyer sent them this:

I know the feeling.

I hope the next time you send them the documents, everything will be accepted and a quick CC for you. Good luck and God Bless you.

It seems a bit unfair. But have faith, it will be done in no time.

If this happens again,  you speak with a supervisor at NVC and get a first hand account of what really is happening.

But will pray and keep my fingers crossed that you get a cc soon and move a step closer towards your loved one

All the best :)

@qianl, I had a similar situation. I lived in a country about 12 years ago and was issued PCC when I left. Everything was manual then and now the format and procedure for that country has switched to online. I submitted the PCC I had and got a check list asking for new certificate. I wrote email explaining why I cannot submit a new PCC and the efforts I had made to obtain a new one (but failed). My email was accepted within 2 working days. So, from my experience, I suggest you write to them explaining clearly why you cannot obtain new PCC (if you can make reference to official website or documents that will help). Stay calm and respond with details…..hopefully it will work.

Hi all I got an update about 20 mins ago that my case at nvc has an update. The AOS docs were accepted but the civil docs still say submitted. When I check my case status it says At NVC.. what does this mean. I uploaded docs to ceac on 9/17

It can mean your case is complete. Call NVC ASAP!

Oh I hope so. I will call them later tonight when their wait time is not that high.. I was just confused because the civil docs stil say submitted. Is that normal if I have a case close?

Has anyone who had to rescan their passport heard back yet? It seems there were 3 or 4 of us with the same issue in this thread. I'm getting depressed with this wait and was hoping someone had good news.

Update: Just received the CC email! 11 days after we were asked to rescan for a total of 16 days after our original submission on CEAC. Good luck everyone!
