Does anyone know how long it takes to get an interview date after NVC case is complete??

It all depends on how busy your embassy is.

There is no fixed time as to when you can expect an interview date. Once the case is complete, NVC lines it up for interview appointments. But the appointments can only happen once the embassy shares the vacant slots.

Usually appointments are fixed between the last week of the month and the first few days of the next month. So fingers crossed!

All the best :)

Hi all,

Question regarding past visa dates. When filling out the online form is asks if you have applied for a visa/been refused.

My husband has been denied a travel visa 2 times YEARS ago and does not remember when.

How can we find this information??

I had to resubmit twice 😩 and it’s crazy because my lawyer scanned in the documents

1st time : they couldn’t read one scan of a police certificate and they wanted both Brazilian police certificate together

Also they wanted my divorce papers to be named differently in the upload

2nd time: lawyer didn’t combine the police records because she says sometimes they reject it that way but the nvc replied that they. Wanted it that way and still the divorce documents worded different

i am am so frustrated ... I honestly cried when they rejected it the 2nd time... now this is my 3rd submit!

Oh my gosh. I would be frustrated with that lawyer of yours. Just making the whole process longer. After our process with uscis I didn’t use a lawyer for NVC because I can just compile all the documents.  Hope you get a quick cc my dear!

Hi Guys,

My husband and I submitted our documents to NVC on the 21st of September. My case is PIVOT. How long until my documents are accepted by NVC?

Mine took 13 days after the documents were all submitted to case complete. This was the expected duration from what I was seeing from following the cases of some other pivot countries.

Best of luck for a speedy case complete. It's been a week since my case complete, but I'm expecting it to take 11-14 days to get an interview date based on some other Australians recent turn around times.

Thanks for your response 😊 Did your status change from submitted to accepted then case complete? Or submitted then case complete? From what I've read online interview dates for Aus are being scheduled for tje month after cc.

Best of luck with your visa 😊

I got an email saying my case was complete before I noticed any change 😊Then when we logged in we had a message that said 'Documentarily Qualified'.

Yesterday they rejected again! We have all the documents there and included a civil polic certificate for Brasília since Brazil requires 2. One for federal and one for state. Since Brasília is independent like Washington DC they don’t offer state police certificate and it’s listed in the us embassy website too. They rejected my documents and said they can’t accept my documents because that’s Not correct. I told them that no one told me that it wasn’t correct when they rejected it the other time just saying combine the 2 uploads!! Now they want me to write a letter saying I can’t get a state certificate from Brasília which is redundant when this should already be common knowledge as it’s on the embassy website.

This is ridiculous I am so extremely upset .. she didn’t care that they would be making me wait another 3 weeks to review my case when they messed up not me
