There are requests for cheap places stay in Moscow, like clockwork, every month or so.

Just stumbled upon this: http://www.cheap-moscow.com/homestay.htm

Hope that this helps someone (in my university days, I stayed in a few hostels/homes of hippies/couches of fellow students.. I never had a bad experience.)

I'm scared to stay in a hostel after watching the movie "Hostel" a couple years ago! But I guess that was Slovakia which is a lot more dangerous then the Russian Federation. :P
I dunno. Those girls were pretty hot. Looked like a nice place to stay to me (:

Cheers!

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

They were looking pretty beat-up in that bar though.

I watched that movie with a "girl" friend of mine, and when I said I missed Europe, she said "You just miss banging all those hot chicks!" Yeah, that and staying in "safe" countries like Russia.

It doesn't seem like you looked at this site carefully. Like the page about "free" housing (storage crates, horse stalls, subway vents, etc). I haven't laughed so hard in a while.

It looks like he is a pal of RussianGirlFriday as well (I've heard her name here a few times).

In other news, tomorrow is "Russian" day for me. I am speaking Russian only for the day, to prepare for the trip. I guess that means I will post only in Russian here too.

I've stepped up my Russian language as well. Sad part is, mine is mostly dirty words and sexual advances. Maybe someday I'll get "educated" Russian down. In the mean time though... where's my Baltika?

Я тоже. Моя жена говорит - два дурачка и примитив мужья. Думаю она и Галина понимают друг друга.
