I had my interview today the 27th September 2018 at the Lagos consulate. My interview was for 06:45am, I got to the embassy around 05:00am. After all the security check, I was able to have my interview around 08:05am by 08:13 I was already out of the embassy, I was interviewed by white American woman, very nice lady. These are the questions the co asked 1. Why are u going to the US? 2. How long have we been married? 3. When did we meet? 4. When did we get married? 5. How did I meet my husband? 6. Did someone introduce us or we ran into each other? 7. Where does my husband work? 8. Who attended our wedding? 9. My husband's home address? 10. Did his parents came for the wedding? 11. She asked if his parents are in the US? 12. She asked if my parents came to our wedding? 13. Can I see ur wedding pictures? I gave her some of the pictures I printed out, then I told her I also have an album, she said wow, that's a nice and huge album. She only went through few of the pictures. She said I am going to approve your visa , she gave me 3 white paper for my right as a spouse of a US against domestic violence, paper for Visa pick and instructions for my green card. Note she never asked for the W2, tax ,Aos , call log and our chat records etc.

I'm doing very well thanks! Been a bit too lazy just staying at home cooking dinner for the hubby and going for walks at night to get dessert  will head to the Social Security Office tomorrow morning to see what's happening with mine. I've read it's a 50/50 chance they might be making it already as they may not, so i will just go and check what's up. I'm updating my resume at the moment. Got to file a form to send to USCIS as they kept my original marriage certificate..! Any of yous know when to expect the GC? I'm dying to start working to be honest haha i'm just at home all day, but still not too keen on going out by myself unless with bae haha so a job will be perfect so i could meet some people!

The stamp on your passport serves as a gc pending when you receive the plastic gc in the mail. 

 

We were at the social security office on Monday and was told to wait 3weeks if it doesn't come in the mail before coming to apply physically for it.

 

The officer we met told us that they have signed a MoU with the Customs and Boarder Protection dept in respective of whether you ticked Yes or No on your ds260 form for SSN.

 

We couldn't get a State ID card because we have no SSN nor any other form of ID that carries your new house address.

 

How are you enjoying the California weather?

I see! I ticked yes on my DS260 but will go there tomorrow and see what’s happening. 

 

Im enjoying the weather indeed, it’s not as hot as I’m used to but it’s ok ! Currently at the rooftop of my building where there’s a pool so it’s nice  how’s the city you’re at now? I live in San Diego’s downtown and it’s really cute

I’m 8/6 and waiting for Montreal.

 

There are July filers that still haven’t received dates so I’m guessing end of August is not going to happen in November, and I’m not trying to be negative about your chances but October filled up super quick and they didn’t make it that far into booking July filers.  I’m sure October is now filled up as there was a July 21st that was given October 29th in a previous post. I’m simply hoping for mid to late November and like I said, I’m 8/6. At the rate they were assigning appointments I’m  skeptical if i’ll even get November! Here’s to hoping 🤞 

 

i just hope everyone on here keeps up posting their dates so we can all benefit! This is by far the most frustrating thing I’ve ever done!

My wife and I lived in San Diego a few years ago, 677 7th, right beside Bootleggers bar...we loved that place(SD), wel and Bootleggers too truthfully. Aside from the politics of that state, we miss it!

Our case was complete on 9/10 and I just called and our interview date has been scheduled - 11/30. I am pretty upset because I was hoping for an early November interview so my husband could be here by Thanksgiving. Another two months feels like an eternity to wait.
