Had my interview at the Stockholm embassy in Sweden today 9/19/2018.

The CO I was speaking to was very friendly, she simply asked a few questions about how me and my wife met, when we decided to get married/engaged, etc etc. All the staff in general were very friendly people. Was a nerve wrecking but nice experience. I got called up to the window to hand in my documents 1st, then waited around 40 minutes to be called, then spoke to CO. She looked over papers after all my answers, then told me I was approved! Visa should arrive in 1 to 2 weeks she said. As soon as my passport arrives, I'm booking the first flight to Phoenix, Arizona to be with my wife:)

Thanks to everyone at VJ for all the help and support. You all have been very helpful!

Yipee.. Congratulations and do have a safe flight to the US of A..:jest:

Visa in hand. I actually tracked my passport arriving to my city and went to DHL right away. I did not receive an email about it until 40 minutes after. If I waited for the email I wouldn’t have made it on time and had to go the next day. @amdublin14 it still shows Issued on ceac.

Full review from Blood tests to Interview Date    -----------  BOGOTA - COLOMBIA  ------------
- 6 days in Bogota in which it took me 4 business days to do it all -

Wednesday • September 12 (Clinic)
Instituto y Laboratorio Clínico
-Showed up at 06:30 and I was the 7th in line. At 07:00 they opened the door and upon entry I was required to give my passport and a copy of it. Once inside i sat down and eventually I’ve been called to reception to pay $420.000 (CASH ONLY) and give a passport size photo (5x5).
After that I’ve been sent to see a lady and she gave me a cup to pee in, came back with it gave it to the lady, made me sit down and took blood tests. After that she sent me back to the room where everyone was waiting and another lady called me in a different room. Performed X-Rays and gave me my passport back and told me that was it. I was inside the clinic for about 20 minutes.

Thursday • September 13 (Biometrics)
Biometrics at ASC I got there at 07:30 and I was in for about 4 minutes, been taken a photo and fingerprints.

Thursday • September 13 (Medical)
Dr. Jairo Roa B.
Got inside the Medical Centre and a lady requested my passport with 4 passport size photos, a copy of it and vaccine records. Paid $245.000 and gave me a form to read, understand and sign in order to acknowledge laws and Dr’s rights.
Went inside in a waiting room and a lady called me to measure my height, weight and tested my vision, with and without glasses (I wear glasses for distances). That thing took 5 minutes. She sent me back to the waiting room and another lady called me in and took me to the doctors office. I had to remove my clothes, stay in underwear and put on a vest and wait for the Dr. He came in, looked at my eyes, ears, lungs, knees, strength in arms and legs and asked me to lay on the bed and quickly checked my breasts and lifted my undies for about a second. ( I was scared for this, but it was very simple, he just did it for a second - I believe it was to make sure I was a female). Oh while he was performing the physical test there was a nurse in the room checking so don’t worry if you’re a female - I did not feel uncomfortable. After that I’ve put on my clothes back and been instructed to wait in his office. He came back and asked me a couple of questions like : where’s your husband at the moment, how come you are in Colombia if you’re Italian, how long have you been living in Colombia and where did I live prior to Colombia. So after those questions he told me I was very healthy and gave me a paper with a list of vaccines and told me: I’ll just have you get a Flu shot, you should get a Tetanus shot too but I’ll let you pass on it, I’m being nice, so that’s all with me, go back to the waiting room and give your passport and shot list to the lady at reception. I paid $56.000 for the shot and a few people in the room called me lucky for it since it seemed most people had to get 3 to 4 shots. I paid, got in the Vaccines room, been given the shot and that was it. Went back to the very first reception and the lady told me : ok, now you’re done, you can come anytime tomorrow at 18:30 to collect results, have a good day.

Friday • September 14 : (Results pickup)
Cued up in line at the Medical Centre and they let us upstairs at 18:30 sharp. Called about 5 patients (me included) and I was handed my envelope and other 2 forms of documents and wished me good luck and successful approval.

Monday • September 17 : INTERVIEW!!
Interview @7:00 showed up @06:20
Been let in at 7 am in the residents line and a guy asked me for original : birth certificate of me and my husband, marriage certificate, 2 passport size photos and police records and been given a green sticker. Walked in and a lady required me to write Down email and telephone number and told me to wait to be called. Been called and a Colombian guy asked me when I got married and organized my papers. (Phone to communicate wasn’t working properly so I stayed with him some good 15 minutes). After that I went to the waiting section where I’ve had my interview with the Consular officer. As soon as I gave him my documents sorted by the previous guy he went to grab my folder with all of my documents submitted to USCIS & NVC. 20 minutes checking my documents ! But what he mostly cared about was to see if I had any problems with the law from the 4 police certificates I got from the countries I’ve lived in. He did not ask me for chats, photos, no evidence, nothing!!!!!!!!!!! However he then finally started to ask me questions :
1. Where did u meet? Tell me more about it.
2. When did u meet up again after first encounter?
3. When and where did u get married?
4. How long have u been living in Colombia?
5. Have u been to the states to visit him?
6. Were u in the states before?
7. From when to when ? - I explained to him I was in the states from ‘09 to ‘13 entered on an ESTA and overstayed with my family however none of my family live there any more and I left 3 months after turning 18 years old so I did not accrue unlawful presence.
8. You applied for an Esta and Tourist visa last year and got denied correct? -Yes
9. What does your husband do?
10. Where is he staying?
He typed and typed on his computer however about 5 minutes before I would get approved I already saw he had a paper saying Congratulations Valentina blah blah... anyways total of 20 minutes flicking documents and about 10 minutes Interviewing me.. LONGEST INTERVIEW EVER! Compared to the rest.. I saw people next to me spending a max of 5 minutes per interview and me 30... anyways, he said : Congratulations Valentina, you’ve been approved!
He then explained to me procedures on how to pay Green Card fee, expected waiting time of passport pickup and good luck on my life in the States with my husband 😊

Paid Green Card fee an hour after interview and received an Email from DHL within 24 hours of approval with tracking number and estimated time to receive passport back (2-3 business days)

email notification was really quick for you
