I knew it would take more than a year to process it, but no update what so ever for my son application status for 529 days! is that normal? should i contact them or just keep waiting? i am Permanent Resident with over 5 years residency, No Crimes, Pay Tax, no problems what so ever, my son is 10 years old lives back in Jordan with my mother, i want him to live with me :(
I am Separated and soon will begin divorce papers, I filed for N-400 and its in processing, With the new system it says am Eligible for it with no marriage commitment. i Filed his papers before i event started the N-400, i guess i thought both would be done in the same time, Both still processing.
please advice me.

Thank you.

The wait for F2A is about 2 years in total. There’s no rush to get his I-130 approved if his PD isn’t current yet. If they approved it now, you’d still have to wait at the NVC for the date to be current. So, it doesn’t make any difference. Priority is given to spouses and children of citizens.
