After June 28th 2018 the processing times for the form I751 seem to have changed.

The Receipt of Application now takes just a few days (4 or 5) and they send you Notice of Action saying that the money was cashed out including also the Extension letter (for 18 months). Before June 28th, the Appointment for Biometrics letter was sent pretty quickly after the First Notice of Action, that seems to have changed because I am on my 8th week after my first (and only) notice of action (which by the way doesn't include any letter A-B-C, it was just a I-797), and I haven't received anything yet.

Also, before June 28th; the actual Appointment for biometrics was something between 5 or 7 weeks after filing, and as I said I am on my 8th week after filing and getting the first Notice of Action and I haven't had any other news about my case. I don't even know if the case was properly accepted and if everything was okay because I don't have any confirmation about it. I wonder if just the I-797 that included the extension letter was enough signal to let me know that everything was okay.

I filled my case on July 11th 2018 and it was received by USIS on July 12th and the first and only Notice of Action arrived on July 16th 2018. Is anyone else experiencing  new delays as well? Thank you

You received your NOA1 5 days after filling...  That's like 0 delay.

I think you're overthinking the processing times waay too much.

Sit back. Relax. It's a long process and there is no point in checking on processing times every day.

Thank you. Maybe I am overthinking. It’s just I am not having a lawyer this time because the i751 is a pretty straightforward application. I’ve been reading people’s experiences about their i751 and I found some kind of pattern that I am certainly not having on my case. That’s why I ask.

Also after June 28th there are a hell lots of changes in USIS procedures which have me a little anxious.

Your NOA1, that you recieved, means the case was accepted.  You won't know anything else until they go to work on it or send you biometrics.  Your case is now in the black hole of the USCIS.  Just forget about it an continue on with life.

Thank you for all the replies but I think y'all are missing the point. I am even reading i751 experiences in this same community and MOSTLY (not to say all) of them had the same pattern. Between 5 to 7 weeks after the first NOA people received the Appointment Notice for Biometrics and the actual appointment was something between 6 to 9 weeks . I am certainly not asking about the whole processing time because I know it takes forever and I just have to wait, sit back and relax. I am expressing the idea that with the new extension period (18 months), times for NOA are gonna get longer.

I wish someone who had applied after June 28th 2018 would reply this topic to compare.

My husbands application was received at the California Service Center on 8/10 and they still haven’t cashed the check and we have not received an NOA. We’ve called USCIS and they said we had to wait 30 days and call back. We will be on the phone with them first thing the morning of 9-11. My husbands green card expires soon and we are worried about what to do next.

FYI, We applied July 2nd and received NOA + extension letter and nothing else.  Indeed, it seems this is the norm.
