My fiancé and I received our approval letter from the USCIS on September 5th. Please I know people are tired of the same questions

being asked all the time and I apologize for this.

Should I call the NVC or wait on the letter to arrive. I noticed on the approval letter this needs to be done within 2-4 weeks to obtain

a number.

Please if you could help us out I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.

That’s all up to you. You can start calling on about day 10 (although I don’t know the current NVC wait times so it would be wiser to follow September noa2 to NVC thread to see.

or you can wait for it to go to transit so you’ll receive the email. However, as you just received your approval 2 days ago, and asking this question; I would say you will probably go crazy waiting for them to send it to you so I would call if I were you.

also calling is good in a way that if there’s any problem you can know early on. Sometimes things happen, case get stuck at NVC etc. so why not try giving them a call in 2 weeks - or when you see other people around your noa2 date getting their number cause most people will call-.

Good luck!

Overall it’s your decision. Doesn’t really matter if you call or not. NVC contact people are way nicer in handling (most the time... I still can punch that girl named Piper though 🤷‍♀️)

Hey :)

We called NVC 3 weeks (15 working days) after we recieved our NOA2. They had only recently recieved the petition information, but they did have our case number.

It's your decision as to when you call them, but I feel like the reality of them having your case number won't be true until at least two weeks have passed.
