Hello, we are about to send our I-129f this weekend.

Is it okay to have a check not from the petitioner, but from someone else (for example petitioner's parent) ?

Many thanks for quick help!!

Uscis does not care where or who the money comes from. All they care is that it is the correct amount.

good luck

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

As others have said they do not care who is writing the check as long as it cashes. So you are good to go

Just make sure it’s the right amount and you are using the most up to date form. How much is your fee?

the fee is 535

we are using the form that expired 08/31/18, because the new form is not uploaded yet and uscis said on their website that the old form may be used until the new one is uploaded. So we are hoping that everything goes well and that they don't upload the new one the day we sent our petition

yes it is okay. my husband doesn't have a checkbook. back then, my father-in-law wrote the check for my I-129f and my AOS (I-485). My husband just gave him cash. Never had issues. No RFEs either.

Yes.

Just a FYI; USCIS now accepts credit cards: https://www.uscis.gov/news/news-releases/uscis-expands-credit-card-payment-option-fees

Thus, a quick way to get credit card rewards, for applicable credit card programs.
