Hello everybody

I would appreciate if someone could answer my question

My fiance did a medical exam one week ahead of interview (which was 2 days ago) and doctor gave her the below vaccinations:

-TDAP

- VARICELA

- MMR (only 1st dose)

For the 2nd dose, he said it is due after 1 month

He wrote on GS-3025 "in sufficient time Interval for Series" next to TD & MMR.

When we send our AOS to USCIS, will they accept it without 2nd MMR?

She asked her doctor and he said it is not mandatory but I want to double check.

Appreicate your help

Applicants may receive a RFE for only having one MMR. The required doses according to USCIS and CDC are two. You can find many threads on the topic on this forum.

I was in the same situation, and I didn't want to risk anything: I had the second MMR here in the US after entering with my K1, and before sending the AoS Package I found a Civil Surgeon who filed part 1, 2, 3, 4 and 9 of Form I-693, which was given to me in a sealed envelope. I enclosed it in the application to show I complied with the vaccination requirements, it would be a pity to waste time and have delays over a vaccination!

Good luck with your application!

Go ahead and get it and get your stuff in order. My husband's had a similar situation. He still had to get the TDAP vaccination after entering the states, and because of that, his DS3025 was not completed. He got the TDAP with no problem, but the only local civil surgeon we could find who would complete the 693 for him pointed out that there are no dates on the vaccination worksheet - particularly the MMR. That seems to be the one they get hung up on the most. So we had to pay to have them do a blood test on him to show he doesn't need the vaccination (he just got it in February before leaving Sweden when he got his medical, so we really don't want him to retake it so soon if he doesn't have to). Not the end of the world, but it's just been a hassle and a lot of stress trying to get it done before his AOS interview on the 18th. So I would recommend taking care of it now, since you're already aware of it. And make sure they have a date on there whenever you do :)

Håll ut, y'all.

Thank you a lot

I totally understand your point. However our doctor overeas gave her TDAP, Varicela and MMR 1st dose. He marked all of them with dates on DS3025

But today he said to me the 2nd MMR dose is not mandatory. See why I am confused!

But like you said,  I will still do the 2nd shot and avoid stress and delays

Thanks

My fiancee had the DTap and varicella and all of the other vaccines had some type of waiver code on his DS3025.  Ans the bottom of his form stated K1 applicant voluntarily completed vaccination requirements.  I was told by another VJ member this was sufficient to submit for AOS
