Hi All!

My fiance just had his approved interview this week and I have been checking the NVC site in order to see the necessary last steps it needs to go through. The statuses have been "Application Received" and now "Issued" as of today. Does that actually mean it's in the mail?? Is that the last status update?? I know there is a brief in between natural "Administrative Processing" but I didn't even see that!

 

If so we could anticipate an early next week arrival for the Visa in order to get his plane ticket booked!!! :) :)

Congratulations!!  "Issued" means the visa is being printed and attached to his passport.  I would caution you about making flight arrangements.  You should make sure you have checked the visa itself for errors before buying tickets.  The chances are small, but they exist.......Congratulations!!!

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
