Visa Denial at Bombay

Hello All,

My parents had interviewed with American Consulate at Bombay for immigration Visa. My Brother was petitioner and I was a third party agent.

Before interview, NVC sent me a letter stating that my brother has little bit less income (around $6000 than what they required) so you can show any asset or co sponsor at the time of interview.

My parents took my brother`s all account statements for last three years which shows at least $20,000.00 Min.

But they did not issue visa.

Now, I need to co sponsor my parents. Where I have to submit I-130? My brother sent  I-130 previously. Do I need a separate I-130 form for co sponsor?

hi

no, you don't need to petition them all over, you just send in an i864 for each of them, does your income qualify to cover both of them?

you need i864, taxes and financial evidence such as paystubs, copies of W2s, and proof of citizenship or being a resident

that's for each parent

How old are they? Will they be working when they get here?

It’s likely the embassy that you have to send i864 n supporting documents to. The CO should've given them something about where to send your AOS to or whether they need to come for interview again with your AOS.

There was a similar case recently where the CO was looking for information on how they would be funding their Health Care costs, I would send those details as well.

My father is 80 years old & my mother is 79. They are retired.

Since I imagine you'll be asking next about getting heath insurance for them, the general consensus is for them to buy it through the ACA. Plan to budget up to about $900 for each of them per month. ACA doesn't cover everything and there will be additional health expenses included in that total.
