Ok guys, I think I\'m losing it.

I am working on my husband\'s AOS and am filing out the I-864. I am going to be the sponsor for him, so I need to fill out an I-864. However, I was unsure if he needs to fill out an I-864. We are not going to be using any of his income or anything, but I read something that made me think he needs to fill out an I-864. Someone please sort out this confusion for me. Am I (as the ONLY sponsor) the only one required to fill out the I-864 or does he need to fill one out himself also?

02/12/08: Card Production ordered, woohoo

02/15/08: Notice welcoming new resident is received

02/21/08: GREEN CARD IN HAND

08/23/08: After 7 years together . . . Religious wedding ceremony and HUGE PARTY in Jalisco, Mexico (we deserve it)

08/24-08/30: Spend our honeymoon in Acapulco, Mexico

Only the US Citizen sponsor needs to fill out the I-864.

Yup, just the USC sponsor. Don't forget to sign the I-864 form (believe it some do) and got RFEs for missing it.

Hi Ucla_Cutie,

I see that you guys have started phase 2 of this long process! You need to complete the I-864. He doesn't need to complete anything. And it does not need to be notarized.

You may also be able to use the I-864EZ form if you are the only sponsor, he is the only intending immigrant and if you are solely using your income (no assets).

The EZ version is nice because it's shorter and simpler....we used it for our submission!
