1.  Comments: Pakistan has no nationwide tracking system for criminal activities. Police Character Certificates are available for a fee from District Coordinating Offices. However, they are not an accurate reflection of an individual's criminal record. An applicant who has committed a crime in one district may be able to obtain a clean Character Certificate from that district or another. Given the inaccuracy of these certificates, they are not required for consular processing

2. Leave it blank or enter zeros. However, it is not YOUR affidavit of support.  It is the petitioner's affidavit of support FOR you.

Somehow I find that hard to believe. You need to prove you have no criminal background.

They won't ask for one unless you have lived outside of Pakistan for a period of time.   Perhaps they do some type of  background checks on their own but anything you supply from Pakistan isn't trusted so therefore not a requirement.

Hi VJ Members,

Need some help with just a few quick questions.

  1. I am Pakistani and never been abroad so as per VJ threads and other Pakistan VJ members I don't need Police Character Certificat at the time of my interview. So I am a little confused here as on Ceac web its ask to upload PCC or another option is (not available). So should I click on not available and submit my legal documents.
  2. And for AOS  on my  i-864ez should I left empty USCIS online account number ( If any) empty as I never been to any other country including the USA and am talking about me the Beneficiary

Thanks

Bhai I have a few Pakistani friends and they also provided police clearance now I understand its a long que to get one but you should get one. For example I was born and raised in Dubai but I still had to get one. I clearly remember on the day of my interview they asked for it and took it from me. Which part of Pakistan do you live in I could give you some more information.

Then evidently, there is some part of "not required" that you are not understanding.

There are several countries where a police certificate is not required because it is not available. See the reciprocity page on the DOS website. They will perform their own background checks still...Pakistan's background checks are known to sometimes take months.

There is a reason why pretty much everyone from Pakistan is put into AP and why many male Pakistanis are put in AP for years.

Correct.  The security checks are extensive and complicated by corruption.  The extra security checks don't even start until a Consular Officer otherwise determines there will be a visa approved if the security checks are passed.  Like it or not, that's how it is for Pakistan.

Yes it is the true fact.
