I received the blue slip on Wednesday Aug. 29.

Reason: needed the long form birth certificate from my husband that states what hospital he was born in and who was present at the birth.

My husband cannot obtain the long form due to a paternity judge order that was done a few months after his birth.

The state sent back a letter of explanation, along with the paternity judge order and also an updated short form birth certificate. I’m praying that it will be good enough for the consular officer.

I sent that through DHL two days after my interview on a Friday and the document arrived on Monday Sept.3 Labor Day (consulate closed)

Still showes I’m on “administrative processing”.

Very stressful process to be in since you are not given a timeline, ready to go home to my children.

Hello, he has a short form birth certificate certified from the state. It includes his name, county born in, date of birth, mother and father, and birthplace of mother.
