Press charges for fraud? Although I guess it’s still his kid, you don’t want to have to go to the extreme of getting him kicked out for a criminal record.

File a case with the State attorney general about the cell phone and the FCC we had to go this route not because of one of the kids but bad business practice with ATT.  Even with his fathers pin no way should they have allowed that without checking with the account holder. 

 

I'm also having a hard time understanding who garnished your wages? Time to toss his butt to the road, and if you have any info about him falsifying his taxes let the IRS have it. They can deal with him. At this point the way he's going if you don't put your foot down he's never going to get enough credits or citizenship that way in his mind he gets a free ride from you.

You can take him off the “family” plan and have his phone disconnected. Don’t play the victim here.

You should definitely not get garnished if he receives unemployment benefits. 

 

Did you cosign something he is not paying? Is he using your SSN for anything?

Thanks little immigrant, not employment but other benefits he received (housing benefit, medical etc)

Will your hubby get upset if you press charges against the young adult?  He needs to be taught a few lessons about life.  Sorry, just my opinion.  I feel bad for you & hope things will work out.  Stress is not good for a relationship & sometimes kids can cause break ups in relationships.

Still not clear if any of these relate to the I 864, seems extremely unusual for  Government entities to reclaim under the I 864 but here we seem to have several examples in one case.

 

Obviously cut all financial ties, the family plan etc, hopefully you have not co signed for anything.
