Please take the advice from the others regarding driving on his foreign license. He is no longer a visitor so he needs to go by the rules for residents of your state.

During my aos interview, the officer specifically asked me about having a license and told me he was going to do a “check” because he said a lot of people keep driving on their foreign licenses and it could delay the aos decision

Ok this thread has caused a bit of heat which I did not intend at all. However I do have an answer for anyone who may come across this in the future. From the mouth of the DDS for our state GEORGIA said for us to come in right before the license expires which is October 6th the date on his I-94. For $50 they will offer a one time 120 days extension. My husband spoke to them I was at work but he did not ask about the EAD. I imagine he will be allowed a more permanent one once he has that and to answer one of the first people's question yes, his EAD and AOS NOA date is Augustn20th so he is in the system. Hoping he will have it by then. If all else fails in an emergency I'm sure his UK license will be ok but I really doubt it will come to that. I will update this at a later date when we do the 120 day extension and tell you all what they say about a permanent one for EAD

***THIS IS FOR GEORGIA RESIDENTS ONLY. I HAVE NO CLUE IF THIS GOES FOR OTHER STATES SO BE AWARE USING THIS INFO***
