Administrative Processing Period of Time

I already had my interview in Argentina for my CR1 Visa, on August 16th but the consul asked me for  a co-sponsor and then (the following day) they asked for my co-sponsor birth  certificate. I already Sent all on August 28th. I haven't heard anything else since then. The Consul kept my passport and all my original certificates.  Someone who can provide information or share their experiences, please. How much time I am supposed to wait? Do you think the embassy can ask me for More papers? What about the possibilities of getting finally mí visa approved?

The fact that the consulate still has your passport is a very positive thing.  Unfortunately, administrative processing is open ended.  It can be days, weeks, months, or (rarely) years.........Can they ask for more documents?  Yes....Hopefully, you will see "issued" as the CEAC status soon.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Typically they would ask you for everything needed at once so unless something else is missing from the the I864 the should have what they need.  If they were only requesting documents the interview went well and they kept your passport there is a good chance you'll get your visa.     Administration Processing unfortunately  has no timeline and no one can give you a clear answer of how long it will take.

I already has my interview for my CR1 visa on august 16th and I'm in the administrative Processing. I checked my status at CEAC page and the only change that I noticed after my interview was the date of the last case UPDATED. First it said august 23rd now it says September 11th. Can anybody tell me why it changes? Thanks

Yesterday my visa was approved!! So happy for this!!! My AP lasted 16 days. Now I'm waiting for my passport. CEAC webpage says it lasts two bussines  days for it to be ready. That is true? It Is hard to believe that. Every step took them More than they said.
