Or do they release interviews more quickly to K visas than us CR-1/IR-1 folk?

As long as I have been around that has always been the case. I can only speak from our experience and other CR-1 non DCF'ers from the time London receives our info from NVC to interview it is typically two to three months. Keep in mind your DCF is much more detailed and time consuming than the K visas, you walk in the states with a green card and SS card on the way. For those few extra weeks wait, it is definetly worth it!

So stop worrying it will not be long now!

Okay, just got off the phone with the DoS...they have received the medical info now and they are "reviewing the documents". Well, I will pretend that is better than "you're in the system"...

Tim and Bethanie -- thanks for your comment. I reckoned it was something like this, but sometimes having someone tell it to you is what you need. A big old ta from me!

Friday always seemed to be a good time to call the DOS. I would recommend you call around 9pm Engerland time. We found out our interview date a week before packet 4 arrived. Hope that helps.

We sent in Packet 3 on the 23rd of April I think, and received Packet 4 on May 11th, with an Interview Date for June 5th! This seems pretty fast to me, so I think there's hope for you too! We were expecting to wait a lot longer, but were pleasantly surprised. Good Luck!!!

After all that worrying and wailing and whingeing and whatnot... I can say WE HAVE AN INTERVIEW DATE!!! It's 19 June at 8.30am. Bruce just called me and asked me when I was supposed to be at the conference in New Haven, and I said the 18th and 19th. "Oh honey, I'm sorry, I don't think you'll like what I'm about to say...my interview is on the 19th!"

(sound of jaw dropping, followed by about a million "ohmygod"s :o )

So the conference is out and the Embassy is ON!!! Thanks to everyone who put up with my obsessing over P4. We're on track, with our interview 5 months and 1 day after my I-130 was received. I'm just a big ol' freak who needs reassuring, and you all are fantastic for bringing me back to earth so THANK YOU!
