Question... So i've been stalking people's timelines, some of them have dates on Packet 4. What is Packet 4?

Also, I've seen people put dates on "Packet 3 Sent" ... I thought that packet 3's docs are supposed to be carried by the beneficiary to the interview?

Hmm.... Kindly clarifiy please...

It depends on the embassy. Some embassies require P3 to be sent back. some don't. some then sends another packet, some don't.

But for the Philippines, P3 docs are to be brought with the interview right? And there's no packet 4?

AS far as I know, Philippines only have P3, but someone might have had different circumstances. Also there are quite a lot of people here that do not know how to fill the timeline and put some unnecessary info there. So I wouldn't worry about that too much.

Packets...       USEM doesn't send you anything of importance for completing the visa application.

Everything you need is online.

Only thing you are going to get from USEM of value is the packet AFTER the interview, and that will contain your passport with visa and a DO NOT OPEN envelope!

Park the paranoia ..

Just follow the process and you can be done in short order.  ;)

1) Pay the visa fee

2) Complete the DS-160

3) Schedule your interview

4) Complete the medical

5) Have everything required by the embassy in STEP 5 from their checklist

6) Attend the interview - smile and look the CO in the eyes when speaking.

Burning daylight with the paranoia.

And don't forget CFO
