My wife's I-130 is being processed at the Potomac Service Center, but I don't see the updated wait times for that location here on Visajourney. We received NOA1 in mid-June. Does anyone know how long its taking the process I-130s at this location?

Thank you.

Between all of the centers they're taking from 7 months and up.

Every case is different. Some cases get approved before others.

I suggest you fill out your timeline and look up other VJ member's timelines with similar data as yours, that way you can "track" with each other and get an estimate on when you should be able to hear about your approval.

It's a longggggg journey that requires a loooooot of patience..

Best of luck x

I am wondering the same thing. They received their request for evidence from us on May 9th. The online website says the Potomac service center will be working on our case and will mail us a decision. We keep checking the website with our receipt number. 9 to twelve months seems like forever! It has only been 4 and it feels like a year! 😂 I scheduled a appointment with the local immigration office last month (august) and went in to ask some questions. Before I left I asked if there was anyway to check the progress on our case. She looked in her computer with our receipt number and said they are already processing it. That they have done the background checks. But she couldn't say how much longer it will be before we recieve the decision. It kind of depends I guess. What exactly it depends on I have no idea. But we had all our info in to them on may 9th and they are already working on it. I'm not sure once they begin working on it how long it takes. If they have already done the background checks I'm wondering why it would take much longer? Maybe it doesn't always take 9-12 months? The uncertainty on the time is killing us.
