Hi everyone,

Last August 31 2018, my I-485 status in the USCIS website is " interview was scheduled". What's the average time till I get my mail notice about my interview? And how soon do they schedule the interview from the notification?

Depends on where you are. My status change to "interview was scheduled" on August 15. Received the letter in mail on August 20 and the interview is on September 24

Thank you. I'm from Virginia. It looks like I'm going to have my interview in Norfolk based in my zip code.

I think you will receive your appointment letter in 1-2 weeks. My mistake, usually once they said interview was scheduled, means that they already scheduled the interview for you.

Hi,

My husband and I are living in Chicago. His AOS is through marriage after K1.

They received our AOS application in late October 2017.

The updated our online case status to "Ready to be Scheduled for interview" since January 2018.

Two months later case status changed to "We cannot provide you any information on your case"

The only status still says this, although we received a letter in the mail at the end of August scheduling our AOS interview for this first week  of October.

So to answer your question, our interview is about a month and a half after we received the letter.

All the best!

Thank you for the reply. I have my schedule now, and it will be on October 10.😊
