6 weeks. Only reason so long is because Knightsbridge had 4 week waiting. That might have improved since I booked mine. I think anywhere from 4-6 weeks from NOA2 to the actual medical being done sounds right. Don’t quote me as I’m not sure of current waiting period at the minute

Do you mean before NOA2? Things you may not know.

  • You need proof of a new Dept of State case number for the medical. You won't have that until NVC assignes it.
  • Portions of the medical expire at 6 months so would have to be done again.
  • Your issued visa expires 6 months from the medical date. If you get the medical too far in advance, you would have a very short term visa. Example: medical 5.5 months before interview means the visa would no longer be valid 2 weeks after the interview. You wouldn't have it delivered for most of that time.

No I mean the reports my doctor will provide prior to my medical that I'll take to my medical.

Probably depends on why you need to supply such reports.

I got my summary and everything issued to me in like.. April or May, and I didn't have my medical until the end of July. It needs to be reasonably recent you know? If you're at NOA2 go ahead and request them and they will be fine.

You'll need a detailed letter from your GP explaining any "ongoing" or significant" issues listed on your patient summary. i.e. diagnoses, treatment, prognosis, dates etc.

I-129F Submitted: 01 November 2017NOA1 Received: 03 November 2017NOA2 Received: 22 May 2018 | NVC Received: 08 June 2018 | Consulate Received: 06 July 2018 | Medical: 27 July 2018 | Interview: 10 August 2018 (APPROVED) | VISA in Hand: 22 August 2018 | POE: 28 September 2018 :joy:

Days between NOA1 until VISA in hand: 292
