That's an idea.. didn't want to have to pay any more than we had to but I as I understand it the regular shipping fee is already £45 so I guess what's £35 for some peace of mind??

I was just reading your post about your Knightsbridge experience! I found it really helpful because I've read some horror stories.. haha. Do you have any idea how long it will take for the medical to reach the embassy? (I know the dreaded question everyone asks but no one seems to have an answer to.. haha) I know that we're not supposed to have a desired timeline because anything can happen to slow it down but we REALLY want to be back to the US by mid-October so we're trying to process everything as quickly as possible. 😭

In our case Knightsbridge messed up her paperwork. Told her it was sent out, when it clearly wasn't. She calls embassy to verify it was in fact there, it wasn't. Then she calls back a day later, they tell her she NOW needs an additional statement from her Dr. She then sends in requested document, they then tell her it wasn't necessary, that it was sent out 3 week's ago!!!!! Then tell her it's going to be sent out that day. Three different stories!!!! Her Medical was on July 28th. We thought we were going to be ok with her scheduled Embassy interview on August 8th. Well........it wasn't ok. They didn't receive her medical records until August 20th. Over 3 week's it took for her records to get to the embassy. She even went in, in person on a Saturday to talk with the  staff to tell them what was going on, that she couldn't get a straight answer from anyone. Knightsbridge was nothing but BS!!!! Misinformation after misinformation. Nobody there would give us a straight answer until around August 15th. I know our experience with them caused us a lot of stress!!! As far as I'm concerned....... they're a bunch of IDIOTS!!!

Oh my word! I’m so sorry to hear. Sounds like a nightmare experience. That’s exactly why at the time we left a full month between the medical and interview as we wanted to be 100% sure the medical got there on time for my interview. I was reading some bad experiences with Knightsbridge which again led us to spacing the two out between each other.

Sod’s law that my medical got there to the embassy in 1 week-had I known I’d have scheduled an earlier interview lol. Glad it got sorted in the end for you guys, although not great it took them over 3 weeks to get the results to the embassy
