Is everything on hold now due to cornavirus?

AOS procedes as it was.   If you need biometrics or an interview then you may get lucky and skip it for now.

Adjusting from another VISA always takes more time as it is all done at the field office instead of the service centers and you won't be skipping anything.

Our green card interview was originally scheduled for April 13th in Detroit, but was cancelled due to COVID. We haven't heard anything about rescheduling yet.

I received a notice on April 24th 2020 that my interview is ready to be scheduled. I know the offices just opened on June 4th but i still feel like it’s taking a long time to schedule the interview. Thoughts?

I have a ready to schedule since December. It can take from 1 week to multiple years to have an interview scheduled, it all depends on your local office.

Now with the furlough the time is going to double.

Following this thread as Detroit is also my local field office. I did my biometrics on March 5 and received notification on April 20 that my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview.

Waiting for an actual date now but I know that they will prioritize the cancelled interview appointments first so fingers crossed it will keep on rolling.
