A   week .

Thank you for letting me know! Fortunately - not relevant anymore!

In the morning we had a change from "fingerprints..." to "ready to be scheduled" and that's when I asked the question. Later in the same day we received "interview was scheduled", so it took only a few hours. Good job Detroit!

It's been over a month since our NOA letters arrived for AOS paperwork, but we haven't received any letters or appointments for biometrics yet. I'm assuming we will be the Detroit office, is that a normal timeline? Is there another way to check biometrics date if the letter was lost in the mail?

Our timeline is a recent one below regarding the biometrics etc, initially it was scheduled for the 3rd of September but we had to reschedule.

I don't believe there is a status that states the letter regarding the biometris is in the post. Our biometrics was scheduled in Grand Rapids and not Detroit actually, eventhough Detroit would have been much closer!

Now that is an amazing timeline, as of Saturday ours changed to "ready to be scheduled for interview" and now I'm refreshing like a lunatic to see if they update to it being scheduled. What date is your interview scheduled for?

Oh wow, I didn't know Grand Rapids did biometrics. We're in the northern lower peninsula, I wonder if there's a place up north that does them. Thanks for sharing your timeline, what was your RFE? I guess I'm just paranoid that if I miss the letter there's no other way for me to get the appointment information. It's also nice to see another brit in Michigan. :)

We're in the lower peninsula also, in the joint of the thumb and sadly they still sent us to Grand Rapids, well Kentwood...we would have greatly preferred Detroit as it cuts 40 minutes or so off the journey but hey, beggers can't be choosers right?!

Our RFE was a fair one, we sent 2017 & 2018 tax paperwork in, but only sent a W2 for 2018 not the full tax return report :)

There's a few of us floating around here! :D I met someone on here going through the K1 who was also from my home city (Hull, UK) and was also coming to Michigan!

I'd take Chicago for a biometrics appointment right now, I'm that desperate! :P

Oh wow, that's nice! My husband grew up just north of London, but was based near Lincoln (RAF) before he moved here. I've been teaching him how the snowblower works--I hope he's ready. 😂

Absolutely, although we do travel to Chicago quite often to visit friends so that would probably suited us perfectly.

Oh cool, I used to work very close to Lincoln (Humberside Airport) so I know exactly where you mean.

Funny enough, I bought snow pants the other day and have a crash course this coming week on the snowblower as I have being tasked with snowblowing! :P

They gave us 5 weeks and the date is December 2, 2019.

The letter with the date came 6 days after status changed.

That is not a bad timeline actually, I'd be happy with a December interview and it appears that a lot of people's status changes from ready to schedule to scheduled within about a week or so!

Guess I'll get back to refreshing just incase 😉

Yes, we are grateful.

I know I shouldn't be writing in this particular topic, but I've learnt from attorney that once you're in AOS step of the process, timeline should be the same for everyone. Waiting time depends only on our Field Office backlog, which is not that bad in Detroit.

We're adjusting from H1B (not K1), and I am not even a citizen (only Legal Permanent resident). Our journey was supposed to take at least 2 years, but (hopefuly) will be done in slightly more than a year:

October 30, 2018 - Priority date for I-130, sent to California Service Center

June 6, 2019 - AOS: We filled I-485, I-131, I-765 while our I-130 is still pending (we're current under Dates for Filling)

June 26, 2019 - Biometrics in Detroit

August 28, 2019 - Our I-130 was transfered from California to National Benefits Center (but was never accepted there)

October 16, 2019 - We received courtesy letter for Medical Examination (I-693)

October 18, 2019 - "Case is reaady to be scheduled...", and a few hours later sweet "Interview was scheduled" for:

December 2, 2019

Received my interview appointment date today for December 9th.

Old website still shows "ready to schedule for an interview" (from 24th October). New website still shows "case was received".

RFE was received by them on the 11th October.

I'll be sure to do this, I've done it for each other stage of this process so I will most definitely continue to do so :D

So I think I've finally calmed down after being so excited by receiving the interview date, just to know it's almost over with and I can contribute again!

I'm having a last minute meltdown....my appointment is on Thursday & my attorney has given me a list of things to gather, mostly down to my unusual(& totally awful) set of circumstances....but am I missing something-what would I normally be needing to take with me in terms of documentation etc, is there a checklist somewhere please? I can't find one anywhere & I'm losing my mind!
