RFE -> NOA2 timeline

Hi.

I would like to ask you about RFE timeline.

We got RFE on September 4th after 215 days of waiting ... (NOA1 recieved on February 1st). USCIS requires ADDITIONAL evidence to process our form.
And today we have sent the necessary documents back to the California Service Center. 

Any experience with the current processing time and when we could get NOA2?

The waiting is endless.....🙏

What was the reason for an RFE? "Simple" ones (i.e. a missing document or such) usually don't take that long - days to weeks. More complex ones could take weeks to months.

On our case, we received NOA2 - 2 weeks later.

It would be more helpful if you specify what exactly they were asking so others can see if you have the same situation.

For example, missing letters of intent to marry might take a few days. Missing divorce or court documents might take longer since they need to be validated.

Hello, we received RFE also about a box on the form that we missed to encircle. We sens the form but we didn't include the RFE notice. DO you have any idea what to do about it?

We received an RFE for the criminal record section. One of the boxes was not checked. I feel so stupid!  Hope this does not add a lot of time to the approval

The USCIS has issued a Ruling, effective April 17, 2007, that gives adjudicators flexibility in determining the length of time a petitioner or applicant has to respond to a Request for Evidence (RFE) or a Notice of Intent to Deny (NOID). Currently, the standard deadline for response to an RFE is twelve weeks (84 days). NOIDs must be responded to within thirty days. Under this regulation, the USCIS will determine how much time should be permitted in any given case, with maximum possible time being what is now the standard response deadline. That is, adjudicators will set deadlines for both RFEs and NOIDs that could be up to twelve weeks in case of RFEs or up to thirty days for NOIDs. No extensions of time are permitted.
