Frustrating email from Islamabad

My husband and I have been patiently (well not so patiently) waiting for the Islamabad embassy to contact us in regards to our returned petition.  Today we were so excited to finally get an email only to find they sent us the wrong email!!  It has our correct case number but its about 4 pages in regards to our approved I-600 or I-600A 😤.

It's asking for a list of documents not relevant to our case and includes a courier link that does not work.   Of course the only way to contact is through an inquiry (which I have done) but I'm so frustrated.   I certainly have no desire to adopt my husband from Pakistan 🤣.

Has this ever happened to anyone before?  Do you think they just mixed up the email or they have a major mix up with our case?

I can certainly relate to the patiently, and not patient waiting, all though not as long as you have.

I can't share any relative information about what you go but I will tell you I am praying for things to move swiftly for you.

I am trying very hard not to send another email to Cairo Embassy, they stuck my husband in AP for no apparent reason other than they can.

I would be nice for them to give a valid reason why they want to keep married couples apart but it seems all we ever get is a generic response to anything.

I do suspect it was just a mistake, but in your shoes I would get my legal representative involved to confirm

Also, file an inquiry with the embassy online and if your petition has been returned give the NVC a call too

I would be on the phone or sending inquiries constantly till I got an answer back as to why there is a mix up in that email. We all go for so long waiting and waiting for this process to be over and we can be with our loved ones, it gets frustrating when there are more set backs.

My husband is from Pakistan also and anything I see and learn from the Islamabad embassy and from people's experiences, I hope to benefit from and keep in my mind that it could happen.

InshaAllah, I pray your case will be resolved and approved quickly so you 2 can be together soon.

Thank you!

Edited to add my petition is a reaffirmed Cr1.   CEAC has it listed as a CR1 so the mix up is only on the embassy side of things.

I sent an inquiry this morning i'll give it until tomorrow morning and then I'll contact Mr. Toomey's office.

Just got an update this morning.   They emailed again asking to disregard the email the week before.  We now have the correct information to keep our case moving forward.  Interview is scheduled October 23rd.

Now if I could keep my nerves under control....
