Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: Morocco
Timeline

We arent from Afghanistan but just an FYI there is no time length for administrative processing unfortunately.  I know of couples still in AP after 12 months + for no real reason.

You can reach out to the liaison for your congressman or senator and they can inquire on your behalf but often they also just hear (officially) your case is undergoing administrative processing.

My husband had his interview in Kabul in June 24, 2018 and is still in AP. We were missing an official stamp on our marriage certificate (we got married in India) My husband is Afghani. Our last update was August 16.

this wait is the worst

@Tariq784 Thank you! It is the worst. It’s going to be 2 years since we filed for CR1. By AP can’t be avoided we just have to wait and see which sucks to hear. Last update Sept 24.

My husband had his interview in Kabul in September 23, 2018 and is currently in AP.  They requested the IRS tax transcript for me even though we have submitted the tax returns before and they requetsed our chat logs. We submitted all the information on Octorber 3rd and have been waiting to hear from them. Our last update was October 4th when they confirmed receiving the documents. Have you heard anything back yet?

Hi Mursal,

Yeah they ask to bring all the original document at the time of your interview including a copy of the tax document. lets hope your husband gets his visa very soon. my wife's case is under AP and there was not any update date since July 29th, all other updates that we have is replying to our emails. once I get any update I will write it here.

Zara,

I am glad you got your approval from USCIS, and unfortunately no I don't know how long does it take. NVC gave us our KBL exactly after two months, so I could say NVS stage is on average 2 months. hope it helps:)

@Zara7860 when I filed for my husband police certificates weren’t needed for Afghanistan. This website will tell you what’s needed specific to Afghanistan https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Afghanistan.html

Just to verify call nvc and ask them to check if it’s needed.
