Has anyone had there K1 interview lately?  What police form did you bring?  A regular criminal back ground check and or the privacy act one?  I still only have my original back ground check from October which shows my photo, finger prints and my history of no criminal history....

If you read this whole thread you will see that currently people are being approved with Privacy Act only.

So I just got back from my Local PD, and they said they don't do "Non-Certified Criminal Records Checks with Fingerprints" anymore. She called someone (unsure who) and verified. For some unknown reason. She said the only way they do it is when fingerprints are included in the documents in which she stated it takes the RCMP 6 to 8 weeks to send the form back to the local PD for pickup by me. In addition to the 6 to 8 weeks my PD said there are required waiting times of 1 week to schedule fingerprints to be taken and sent digitally to the RCMP. I don't know where they're getting that from but by the timeline she suggested that it would take 2 months.

I'm going to go to a private company and see about this.. I don't think my local PD understands what I'm asking for.

Because you're not asking correctly.  Ask for a police record check under the privacy act.

Yes this is what I had specifically asked for and she stated they do not do them in uncertified form. Specifically because it's under privacy act.

It doesn't matter if it's certified or not... Originally they were supposed to be certified with fingerprints and then people were told they weren't certified and missing fingerprints....

Does the "Privacy Act Request Type" matter? Mine says "For Suspended Record" while I've seen others say "For Non-Certified Criminal Information".

My check is still under the privacy act, confirming that none of my information was found CMP-PPU-030 and my prints were destroyed (they're not on the shown check either). I'm assuming it would be accepted since it's still the same result...

To those that got the new PRIVACY ACT RCMP CHECK.

Does your report say "SEE ATTACHED", then there is no attachment (1 sheet/page only).

AND there was no writing until the signature of the Director General person?

If so, does that mean there is no record found? So confused.

Mine says:

Your application for personal information held in the databank CMP-PPU-030 has been processed.  No personal information about you was found in the databank CMP-PPU-030.

For further information please visit the RCMP website at: (URL)

The original fingerprint form containing the fingerprint images used to search the databank has been destroyed.

Privacy Act Request Type:  Other (Provide Details)

Applicant Full Name:  (NAME)

Date Fingerprinted:  (DATE)

Date of Birth:  (DOB)

And then the signature.

So is it a right one? My letter has the same content but my friend had the one which is the one that the guy has below... does privacy act request type matter?

It's what I'm taking to my interview, so I guess we will see.

Hi! Does anyone receive the RMCP police check with the same content as mine and has been accepted?

It is said:

"your application has been processed. No information about you was found in the databank cmp ppu 030"

It seems too simple but this is what I've got. I am so confused. Thank you so much

is this the correct link for the privacy act? http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/en/making-requests-the-privacy-act

Yes and no - that link refers to literally anything people could want to request from RCMP under the Privacy Act. Use that along with the Canadian reciprocity information as this is specific to obtaining U.S. visas: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Canada.html
