Hello,

I applied for my EAD and my case was received on 29th June. My employer is a California government agency (special districts) and wants to join as early as possible. So they gave me a letter addressing USCIS expedition team to have my EAD expedited (reason: public interest, delayed start date causes a financial loss to the government, a lot of zero-emission projects like electric vehicles fleet expansion will get delayed and will have a negative impact on the environment). I called USCIS to explain that my request is of public interest and received an email the next day with a fax number to send my documents. A day after I sent them, I noticed a status change as "Reviewing your correspondence" and the history says "my expedition request was assigned to an officer and completed on 8/30". Can you please tell me whether they have actually accepted my request or they're still reviewing it? How many days to they typically take to process this?

Thank you

I believe they are reviewing your request. They don't give any processing time for expedited cases, but I have seen people getting responses within 15 days. It's good thing that an officer is working on your case tho. I hope you hear some good news soon!
