When my Fiance is filling out the DS-160.  Can she put her parents address on the form unstead of her apartment address? God willing if she gets approved for the K1, she wants her visa mailed to her parents house instead of her apartment.

can you decide to pick the passport at embassy or courier that makes the delivery? some embassy know the problem with the mail and that is why they use a courier or you pick it up personally at the embassy

Yes, of course. She can use her parents address.

When you register for the GSS that is where you select where you want to pick up your passport, or have it mailed to. You can use just about any address you want on the DS-160, it is the address in the GSS registration that controls where your passport goes. I had it setup to mail to Phuket initially, then a week before the interview she decided she was staying in Bangkok so I had to Log in and change the address. Address changes are allowed up to 48 hours before the interview at the GSS registration website. You can chose to pick up at a local post office if it is more convenient for you. One of the other posters said you can pick it up at the embassy, and that is not true. I am 99.9 percent positive that that is not an option. You have to pick up at a post office or have it mailed to an address, I just completed the process less than a month ago, so I am pretty positive about this. Feel free to message me any questions as I just finished the embassy interview process. You can use her parents address in the GSS registration if you want it mailed there.

I just checked your timeline, if that is accurate you don't have to worry about the DS-160 til January or so. Don't fill it out too early as the forms can change, but the DS-160 hasn't had a change in a long time, so you are probably safe.

Now that I think about the process, the DS-160 is filled out online and stays active for 30 days. You can keep it active by logging in every 30 days, or saving a copy to your computer for later. I would wait to do the DS-160 until your case leaves the NVC. Only takes about 30 minutes to fill out the form, even with the extra questions for the K1 visa part that is a little different than the tourist visa selection.
