Hey everyone,

I am in the process of gathering evidence to file for a CR1 visa. I have a question regarding the evidence portion and chat logs. We met in person in June 2017 and continued our relationship through social media messages, text messages and of course FaceTime. Throughout this time we have screenshotted a lot of FaceTime calls but they are the 'live' photos so not necessarily proof of Facetiming. Just for more insight on our relationship, our families are meeting before we file and we will have other evidence/proof besides just messages. My question is do we need to scroll back to June 2017 to our very first messages or can we start screenshooting the chats now? We plan to file for the visa in the summer of 2019.

Thank you for any suggestion on how to strengthen our case!

For what it's worth my attorney advised me to have evidence for the entire period of our relationship after filing.....We included periodic screen shots of chats throughout the year our case was processing...along with birthday cards, etc....

i would show a small portion of 1st chat and continue showing jusr small portions to show continous talk (maybe 1 each month)

i enclosed a few of my many 123 greeting cards (free online to send)

i would have had thousands and thousands if i did all chats

they need to see time spent together, approval by moroccan family (mother),

several trips to Morocco

ages of both is important

moroccans are suppose to want children

religion is important

We also included from the beginning.   For FaceTime calls i used the call log and a few of the duration snapshots for each month.   I basically put together enough to show consistent conversation from the beginning to current.

So if you met in June 2017 and plan on filing in summer of 2019 - have you not gotten married yet?

My husband and I use WhatsApp to chat - so i fyou scroll up you see the date. I took a screenshot of 1 text just about every week or so where we discussed something important or noteworthy - then posted 4UP on a page - so each page is 1 month of conversations so to speak.

On imo I make a couple screenshots a month of conversations we have had.

They aren't going to want (or read) hundreds of pages of text so try to focus more on quality evidence than photos of you talking - time spent together, etc.
