Just received an email today, and the case status also changed. Somehow the post office failed to deliver the notice, whatever that was. 😞

I had my NOA1 delivered at the same address with no problem. I don't see why it's a problem now!

The email says, Your Case Status: Initial Review

So, I am guessing its a notice for additional info or something, because if approved the case status online should have shown that. 😞

I went ahead and filled the form in that link to request copy of that notice.

Should I also call them to find out, or just wait?

I went ahead and called them anyways.

The CSR was a very nice guy and informed me that the update may have been a mistake, and there was no notice sent to me!

He then transferred me to a tier 2 representative who was a very rude lady, and reiterated the same info. No notice sent yet!

So, I guess. I should just keep waiting.

I just received a notification from the USCIS website stating they had taken action on our case and it turned out it was approved on October 19. My husband didn't get any emails/texts yet. 

Our PD April 2, NOA1 April 5. 

 

The VJ timeline said we might hear something starting October 19. What coincidence - we did! 😁

 

So happy! Now waiting for the actual letter.

 

Good luck to everyone waiting. I believe you will be approved very soon 😉

Thank you! Hope NVC stage will be smooth for all of us. Do you know if this info is automatically updated in the NVC system or it takes a few weeks? I'm traveling to the States to visit my husband in two weeks. I'm curious if the officer at POE will give me a hard time if he/she could actually see it in the system.

Even if the officer knows that you r going to see your husband your have the right to stay 6 months .

My sister in low are now at the usa and they didnt give her hard time they was nice to her, she told him that she will just see her husband for 1month they told her nicely you can stay even 6months ... dont worry about this

My PD was April 20th, and I just got my NOA-2 in the mail like an hour ago (Oct. 20th). I just checked the website, and it says that my petition was actually approved on the 17th! That means it was slightly less six months between NOA-1 and NOA-2. 

 

Stay hopeful, and good luck to everybody still waiting!!!

They are at uscis stage since march bcz he is not yet citizen

Thank you. For some reason, I have an impression that it's more challenging to get admitted to the States after the petition is approved. But anyway, we'll see soon Wish your sister a swift approval!

You’ll be fine. I arrived here in the US in the beginning of the month (before our approval on USCIS) and I had a smooth immigration. The officer naturally asked me some more questions but everything went well! Just take with you your NOA 2 and papers concerning the process 😊
