It can be difficult when they are minors travelling alone, but not impossible.  All depends on ties to their home country compelling them to return after their visit.  Might have missed it in this thread but how old are they?

They are 6 and 8.

Most airlines will not allow children of that age to board unaccompanied....a few might.  Depends on their regulations.

I just want to add to all of the advice that is already given. If the children, are neglected and/or abused, the best (and fastest) thing to do is contact their country's protective services for children. As you now know, your options to help them are extremely limited, if any. But if they need to be removed from a toxic environment, adoption is the last thing to do. Adoption would take so much money and time (think years for the process to complete) and it would still not guarantee they would be able to immigrate to the US through you.

Adoptiing family to immigrate them is often asked and many soon discover that it is actually not a viable option.

Thank you. I knew it wouldn’t be easy, but i was thinking  with them being in the situation they are in, it would be better. They are in a very toxic environment and at an impressionable age

If parents can provide proof of compelling reason for them to return to their home country, and they have the money to apply, they can always take a shot.

Thank you. So the kids need to show strong ties just like the adults do? Wow, i didn’t know that. What could the children possibly show, besides needing to go back for school

COs want to ensure minors are returning to their home country, just as they expect adults will.

Minors travelling without parent(s) may be scrutinized more.

Kids are considered an extension of their parents. If their parents do no show strong ties or qualify for the visa the kids won’t either. You can’t adopt them. You can make their life better down there by helping them if you would so like but those kids aren’t immigrating to the US any time soon. If their parents have no strong ties to their country those kids would be denied a visa right away. Also even if they were to get one, most airlines don’t let children travel internationally without at least one parent. So you and your husband going down there to bring them wouldn’t work.

OP, I think people are looking out for your best interests, believe it or not.  You seem like you have a big heart and alot of love to give, and that you might be getting taken advantage of (e.g. your husband's correspondence with another woman).
