OP. Be careful  you are not being used or you are gonna end up with a big headache. You can not bring/adopt kids to the US when their parents are alive. Maybe you can move with your husband to Jamaica for a while to immerse yourself in the adoption process (if that is even possible).

Or, alternatively OP, as @missileman suggested, consider other options with regards to helping them.  Contributing to their education, for example, so that they have better opportunities.  There are many ways to improve their lives without having to adopt them.

Since you do not seem to believe the posters on the forum, you need to consult an attorney familiar with international adoptions.

If their parents are willing to give them up for adoption, they should do so via a Jamacian adoption agency.

I tend to agree.  Removing children from their own country is not always the best answer to helping them, imo.

We have an answer. And the answer is: no, you cannot adopt them and bring them to the US when their parents are still alive. Doesn't matter if you like their environment or not.

Thank you. That’s all I’m looking for

From what I know (suggesting I am no expert but a similar thing happened with my aunt) you and your husband could adopt his niece and nephew but what this mean is they would relinquish all ties with their biological parents.  So the kids couldn't  even file for their parents when they become of age unless you and your husband have passed (died). Adopting then would ne you guys are now their parents and 100% responsible for them. They may even have to change their last name to yours and your hus.

It can become very complicated. You would have to first  do the adoption process in Ja. before even thinking about bringing them over to the US.

Try to get a advice from a good lawyer.

Thank you! We all have the same last name, (i didn’t have the change it thank goodness lol) so that wouldn’t be the issue. But i was just trying to figure out the best option. The kids are sometimes left alone and they are only 6 and 8. I don’t like that one bit

They are alive but i don’t like their living environment, never have.

If they are alive, then adoption for immigration later on is pretty much impossible.

You could move there and be involved in their day-to-day lives, and make sure they're taken care of!

Yeah yeah yeah....forget all of that. I came to ask a certain question, not for you to go back into my history of what i have posted out of anger. If you don’t have advice, don’t comment

Your past posts are publicly available for a reason; any member can reference them.

As noted above, with the adoption option not available, you could look into alternative avenues to improve their local environment. Perhaps financially provide for them for starters. Help with good education, etc.

The parents can help them apply for tourist visas for the kids.

How difficult is it for children to get a visa?

It can be difficult when they are minors travelling alone, but not impossible.  All depends on ties to their home country compelling them to return after their visit.  Might have missed it in this thread but how old are they?

Edit:  just saw they are quite young.  Tourist visa without parents travelling will be hard considering many airlines will not allow that age to board unaccompanied.
