Brett Kavanaugh will kick off three days in the hot seat on Tuesday as hearings begin on potentially President Trump’s most influential judicial nominee.

The former D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals judge is a conservative like Trump’s first Supreme Court pick, but Justice Neil Gorsuch replaced a conservative on the high court. Given the current makeup of the bench, Kavanaugh’s confirmation could shift the ideological balance of the court decisively to the right for at least a generation.

The hearings before the Senate Judiciary Committee mark the first time Kavanaugh will appear on camera for a significant period since his nomination.

Apparently the Dems are in full delay tactic mode.  This is bloviating beyond belief, I wonder if any Dems will even ask any questions?  I suppose if they do it will be questions like how will he rule on a specific topic which of course they know he cannot answer.  These tactics are getting really tiresome, but I suppose that is par-for-the-course for such a partisan party.

Apparently the MDL swamp dwellers were colluding a bit to stage yesterday's disruption.  Apparently all the bipartisanship talk during the McCain funeral was just a lot of bull.

I'm hard-pressed to remember a political scene with more monkeyshines than the Kavanaugh hearing.

Poor Mrs. Kavanaugh had to rush their daughters out of the room because of the apparent profanity being shouted.

 

Folks have witnessed people being paid, outside, to go in and get arrested for disruption.

Their contact information is being taken, because bail money is included in the offers.

 

In addition, the Senate Democrats held a conference call over Labor Day weekend to plot their disruption.

"Baghdad Dickie" Durbin was directly questioned about this and didn't deny it.

The thing is that Kavanaugh is not the issue.  It's "anyone nominated by Trump" who would get this treatment.

What is interesting is we hear people (mostly MDL folks) saying there are protests and threats from all sides whenever someone brings up that comparison.  For some reason, I do not remember a lot of poltical disruption either from sitting senators of the GOP persuasion, or from far right hate groups when Kagan, and Sotomayor were going through their confirmation hearings.  Just saying.
