Actually, it sounds like Kaepernick has become a consummate "quitter" relative to his career and now his taking the millions which effectively deligitimizes his entire protest and victimhood status.

I was reading some FB comments about CK.  Some good stuff, both for and against CK.  Target stood their ground, and lost big during the bathroom debacle.  Nike stock took a hit, but we all know that is a good time to buy, and it could rally back quickly enough, and end up being a win for them.  Heck, with the backing of Nike behind him, there may well be enough money to do some good hard looking into police brutality (though I wonder why CK is only concerned about it being directed towards blacks, when clearly more white males are killed by cops than black ones?).  Hopefully, some good will come of this whole thing.  OTWT

But in reading the comments, I came across this one, and it really struck home.  People like to throw the R-word around like chocolate candy these days, until it has lost much of its meaning.  But is America, as a whole, really all that racist?  I think not.  I have visited and lived in other countries that make our “racism” look like kids arguing over who has the coolest pet.  But this comment from a South African person really made me appreciate an outsider’s view of the US:
